you who hate good and love evil; who tear the skin from my people and the flesh from their bones;

But you hate what is good. And you love what is evil. You are like someone who tears the skin off my people. You pull the meat off their bones.

you who hate the good and love the evil, who tear the skin from off my people and their flesh from off their bones,

but you are the very ones who hate good and love evil. You skin my people alive and tear the flesh from their bones.

ye who hate the good, and love the evil; who pluck off their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones;

Her officials within her are like wolves tearing their prey; they shed blood and kill people to make unjust gain. (niv)

Those who forsake instruction praise the wicked, but those who heed it resist them. (niv)

Do all these evildoers know nothing? They devour my people as though eating bread; they never call on God. (niv)

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. (niv)

What do you mean by crushing my people and grinding the faces of the poor?” declares the Lord, the Lord Almighty. (niv)

Jehu the seer, the son of Hanani, went out to meet him and said to the king,“ Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord? Because of this, the wrath of the Lord is on you. (niv)

who despises a vile person but honors those who fear the Lord; who keeps an oath even when it hurts, and does not change their mind; (niv)

So the king of Israel brought together the prophets— about four hundred men— and asked them,“ Shall I go to war against Ramoth Gilead, or shall I refrain?”“ Go,” they answered,“ for the Lord will give it into the king’s hand.”But Jehoshaphat asked,“ Is there no longer a prophet of the Lord here whom we can inquire of?”The king of Israel answered Jehoshaphat,“ There is still one prophet through whom we can inquire of the Lord, but I hate him because he never prophesies anything good about me, but always bad. Whoever hates me hates my Father as well.If I had not done among them the works no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin. As it is, they have seen, and yet they have hated both me and my Father. (niv)

Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them. (niv)

Hear this, you who trample the needy and do away with the poor of the land,saying,“ When will the New Moon be over that we may sell grain, and the Sabbath be ended that we may market wheat?”— skimping on the measure, boosting the price and cheating with dishonest scales,buying the poor with silver and the needy for a pair of sandals, selling even the sweepings with the wheat. (niv)

“ You stiff- necked people! Your hearts and ears are still uncircumcised. You are just like your ancestors: You always resist the Holy Spirit!Was there ever a prophet your ancestors did not persecute? They even killed those who predicted the coming of the Righteous One. And now you have betrayed and murdered him— (niv)

“ If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. (niv)

This is what the Lord my God says:“ Shepherd the flock marked for slaughter.Their buyers slaughter them and go unpunished. Those who sell them say,‘ Praise the Lord, I am rich!’ Their own shepherds do not spare them. (niv)

They shouted back,“ No, not him! Give us Barabbas!” Now Barabbas had taken part in an uprising. (niv)

The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify that its works are evil. (niv)

Do I not hate those who hate you, Lord, and abhor those who are in rebellion against you?I have nothing but hatred for them; I count them my enemies. (niv)

without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, (niv)

There are those who hate the one who upholds justice in court and detest the one who tells the truth.You levy a straw tax on the poor and impose a tax on their grain. Therefore, though you have built stone mansions, you will not live in them; though you have planted lush vineyards, you will not drink their wine.For I know how many are your offenses and how great your sins. There are those who oppress the innocent and take bribes and deprive the poor of justice in the courts.Therefore the prudent keep quiet in such times, for the times are evil.Seek good, not evil, that you may live. Then the Lord God Almighty will be with you, just as you say he is. (niv)

“ But his subjects hated him and sent a delegation after him to say,‘ We don’t want this man to be our king.’ (niv)

You eat the curds, clothe yourselves with the wool and slaughter the choice animals, but you do not take care of the flock. (niv)

Her officials within her are roaring lions; her rulers are evening wolves, who leave nothing for the morning. (niv)
