Her leaders judge for a bribe, her priests teach for a price, and her prophets tell fortunes for money. Yet they look for the Lord’s support and say,“ Is not the Lord among us? No disaster will come upon us.”

Your judges take money from people who want special favors. Your priests teach only if they get paid for it. Your prophets won’t tell fortunes unless they receive money. But you still look for the Lord’ s help. You say,“ The Lord is with us. No trouble will come on us.”

Its heads give judgment for a bribe; its priests teach for a price; its prophets practice divination for money; yet they lean on the Lord and say,“ Is not the Lord in the midst of us? No disaster shall come upon us.”

You rulers make decisions based on bribes; you priests teach God’s laws only for a price; you prophets won’t prophesy unless you are paid. Yet all of you claim to depend on the Lord.“ No harm can come to us,” you say,“ for the Lord is here among us.”

爾之君長悖逆乎我、與盜為侶、好賄賂、納苞苴、孤子嫠婦、不伸其冤。

自尊逮卑、貪婪無厭、先知祭司、俱言詐偽。

彼偽先知、迷惑我民、供其食用者、則許以平康、缺其甘旨者、則與之戰鬥、故耶和華責之曰、

有言虛誕者、三稱耶和華殿為可恃、爾勿信之。

長於作惡、牧伯士師、俱索賄賂、大人所謀不軌、黨同為非、

牧上帝群而督之、非由力所強、乃由心所願、不取不義之利、乃善心樂助、

西門見使徒按手、即有聖神之賜、以金獻曰、以此能予我、使我手所按者、亦受聖神、彼得曰、金與汝偕亡、爾意上帝之賜、可以金市耶、

彼為非義之利、傳不宜之教、覆人家室、若此者、必辯折之、使無辭可對、

其子不肖、惟利是視、受賄反正。

何嘗奪人之牛驢、何嘗虐取人、挾制人、受人之賄賂以蔽我明、有一於此、我即償之。我在此於耶和華前、及受膏者前、彼得為證。僉曰、爾未嘗虐取我、挾制我、未嘗奪人物。

摩西怒甚、籲耶和華曰、勿眷顧其禮物、我未取其一驢、未害其一人。

耶和華曰、自尊達卑、貪婪無厭、先知祭司俱言詐偽、故其妻室必適他人、其田疇為他人所得、我使之然。

不酗不競、非義之利勿取、必寛裕溫良、務絕貪婪、

所視無非惡色、獲罪不已、厥必常貪、信道不篤者、為其所惑、如此之人、可以咒詛、離正道而迷罔、從破朔子巴蘭之行、巴蘭貪不義之利、

閭閻之惡人、自謂禍不及己者、俱必亡於鋒刃、

彼行該隱之途、以其貪利、故謬則從巴蘭、逆則效哥喇、烏能弗敗、

彼縱飲無度、恆作淫行、民牧所好、可醜之事、

民歸營時、以色列長老議曰、耶和華今日使我敗於非利士人前、曷故。盍攜耶和華約匱、自示羅至此、可援我於敵手。當時有居𠼻𡀔［口氷］間萬物主耶和華之約匱在示羅、以利二子、何弗尼非尼哈在側、民遣使詣彼、以攜之至。既至於營、以色列族大聲號呼、地為震動。非利士人聞號呼之聲、則曰、希百來營號呼曷故。問之於人。知耶和華之匱已至於營。

伊昔民間有偽先知、如爾中將有偽師、私傳異端以害人、主贖之、而彼拒之、自速其辜、眾見有人聽從其妄、因而訕謗真道、彼取人財、以巧言鬻爾、上帝預定、不久必鞫之、使彼速沉淪、

彼甚饕餮、不知饜足、譬彼愚蠢之牧人、無一不縱己欲、不顧私利。

爾稱為猶太人、以律法是依、以識上帝為榮、既習於法、則知其旨、可辨異同、自信為瞽者之相、暗者之光、愚者之師、蒙者之傅、其於律法、有真知之儀範、且爾欲正人、而不正己乎、爾言勿竊、而自竊乎、爾言勿淫、而自淫乎、爾惡偶像、而自干聖乎、爾誇律法、而自犯法、辱上帝乎、上帝名、緣爾謗讟於異邦中、如經所云矣、爾遵法、則割禮有益、爾犯法、雖已割若未割然、若未割而守法誡、則雖末割、豈不謂之已割乎、其素無割禮而守法者、豈不罪爾、謂奉詔受割、而仍犯之耶、其明為猶太人者、非猶太人、其身明受割禮者、非受割、隱為猶太人、則誠猶太人、心受割禮、則誠受割、蓋在內心、不在虛文、其令聞非由人、乃由上帝、

萬有之主耶和華曰、爾中有誰、閉我殿門、燃火於我壇、而肯徒為之乎、故我不以爾為悅、不納爾禮物、

勿自以為亞伯拉罕吾祖也、吾語爾、上帝能使此石為亞伯拉罕子孫焉、

人述虛誕、無益於事、爾乃信之、爾攘竊殺人、行淫妄誓、焚香以敬巴力、崇事素未識之上帝、又至籲我名之所、奉我於斯殿、以為作惡無傷。此殿為籲我名之所、爾曹視若盜巢、我耶和華鑒察之矣。昔以示羅為籲我名之所、以色列族作惡、我既有以處之矣。爾可往觀。

其中之牧伯、猛若吼獅、其士師惡若豺狼、夤夜而出、愈肆其暴、盡嚙骨骸、至於詰朝、遺骼無存、

受賄以殺人、取利追索、棄我耶和華。

邑中之牧伯若狼、行其殘害、肆其吞噬、以獲不義之利。
