你们起来去吧！这不是你们安息之所；因为污秽使人毁灭，而且大大毁灭。

起来，走吧！这里并非安歇之处；因为不洁净带来毁坏，且是大大的毁坏。

你们起来走吧！这里不再是你们的安居之地！因为这里已遭玷污，被彻底毁坏。

起来，走吧！这不是你们安息之地；你们因为不洁净的缘故，必被毁灭，是不可挽救的毁灭。

起來，去吧！因為這不是個安居之地；為了「不潔淨」的緣故你們必被毁滅，慘重的毁滅。

爾起而往、此非爾安息之所、污穢必敗壞之、其敗壞甚矣、

爾行穢濁、污衊斯土、故不得安居、當往他方、遭禍不淺、

爾曹當起而往、此非爾安居之地、因污穢故、必翦滅爾、翦滅殆盡、

Get up, go away! For this is not your resting place, because it is defiled, it is ruined, beyond all remedy.

Get up! Leave this land! It is no longer your resting place. You have made it‘ unclean.’ You have completely destroyed it.

Arise and go, for this is no place to rest, because of uncleanness that destroys with a grievous destruction.

Up! Begone! This is no longer your land and home, for you have filled it with sin and ruined it completely.

Get up and leave, for this is not your place of rest because defilement brings destruction— a grievous destruction!

Arise and go, For this is no place of rest Because of the uncleanness that brings on destruction, A painful destruction.

“ Arise and depart, For this is not your rest; Because it is defiled, it shall destroy, Yes, with utter destruction.

Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your resting- place; because of uncleanness that destroyeth, even with a grievous destruction.

Get up and leave, for this is not your place of rest, because defilement brings destruction— a grievous destruction!

他們流無辜人的血，就是自己兒子和女兒的血，把他們祭獻給迦南的偶像，那地就被血玷汙了。

因此我在怒氣中起誓：『他們絕不能進入我的安息。』」

所以，既然那進入神安息的應許還存留，我們就該懼怕，免得我們當中有人看來達不到了。實際上，我們也是得以聽到福音的，就像他們那樣；但是他們所聽的話語對他們沒有益處，因為他們沒有因著信，與所聽的相配合。其實，我們這些相信的才能進入那安息，正如神所說：「所以我在自己的震怒中起誓：『他們絕不能進入我的安息。』」事實上，神的工作從創世以來，就已經完成了。原來關於第七日，他在經上某處這樣說：「神在第七日，歇了他所有的工作。」在這裡他又說：「他們絕不能進入我的安息。」所以，既然這安息為了一些進入它的人被保留下來，可是由於那些原先得以聽到福音的人，因著不信從而沒有進去，神就再次設定了一個日子——「今天」，就是在很久以後藉著大衛所說的，像預先說過的那樣：「今天，你們如果聽見他的聲音，就不可硬著你們的心。」如果約書亞已經使他們得了安息，神後來就不會再說到另一個日子了。這樣，就有一個「安息日的安息」為了神的子民被保留下來。
