耶穌走遍加利利，在各個會堂裡教導人，宣講天國的福音，醫治人們各樣的疾病。祂的名聲傳遍了整個敘利亞。人們把一切患病的，就是患各種疾病的、疼痛的、癲癇的、癱瘓的，以及被鬼附身的都帶到祂面前，祂都醫治了他們。

但耶穌對他們說：「我必須把上帝國的福音傳到其他的城鎮去，因為我是為此而被差來的。」於是耶穌繼續在加利利各會堂裡傳道。

你們也知道，拿撒勒人耶穌是上帝用聖靈和大能膏立的。祂周遊四方，廣行善事，醫好被魔鬼壓制的人，因為上帝與祂同在。

耶穌囑咐完十二個門徒，就離開那裡，到附近的城鎮傳道和教導人。

就是瞎子看見，瘸子走路，痲瘋病人得潔淨，聾子聽見，死人復活，窮人聽到福音。

他們的不信令耶穌詫異，於是祂就去周圍的村莊教導人。

日落之後，有人把病人和被鬼附身的人都帶來見耶穌。全城的人都聚在門前。耶穌醫好了許多患各種疾病的人，又趕出很多鬼。祂不准鬼說話，因為鬼認識祂。第二天清早，天還沒亮，耶穌就起來獨自走到曠野去禱告。西門和同伴們四處尋找耶穌，找到了，便對祂說：「大家都在找你呢！」耶穌卻回答說：「我們到附近的鄉鎮去吧，我也好在那裡傳道，因為我就是為這事來的。」於是，耶穌走遍加利利，在各會堂傳道，趕鬼。

耶穌不論到哪一個城市、鄉鎮和村莊，人們總是把病人抬到街市上，求耶穌讓他們摸一摸祂衣裳的穗邊，所有摸過的病人都好了。
