耶稣就对他说：“若不看见神迹奇事，你们总是不信。”那大臣说：“先生，求你趁着我的孩子还没有死就下去。”耶稣对他说：“回去吧，你的儿子活了！”那人信耶稣所说的话就回去了。

耶稣到了彼得家里，见彼得的岳母害热病躺着。

耶稣说：“我不是对你说过，你若信，就必看见神的荣耀吗？”

耶稣因为他们不信，就在那里不多行异能了。

当下，耶稣离开众人，进了房子。他的门徒进前来，说：“请把田间稗子的比喻讲给我们听。”

凡活着信我的人必永远不死。你信这话吗？”

耶稣转过来，看见她，就说：“女儿，放心！你的信救了你。”从那时候，女人就痊愈了。
