On hearing this, Jesus said,“ It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.

Jesus heard this. So he said,“ Those who are healthy don’t need a doctor. Sick people do.

But when he heard it, he said,“ Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.

When Jesus heard this, he said,“ Healthy people don’t need a doctor— sick people do.”

Jesus replied to them,“ It is not those who are healthy who need a doctor, but those who are sick.

For you say,‘ I’m rich; I have become wealthy and need nothing,’ and you don’t realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked.I advise you to buy from me gold refined in the fire so that you may be rich, white clothes so that you may be dressed and your shameful nakedness not be exposed, and ointment to spread on your eyes so that you may see.

Yet I will certainly bring health and healing to it and will indeed heal them. I will let them experience the abundance of true peace.

When the crowds found out, they followed him. He welcomed them, spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who needed healing.

When Jesus heard this, he told them,“ It is not those who are well who need a doctor, but those who are sick. I didn’t come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.

Heal me, LORD, and I will be healed; save me, and I will be saved, for you are my praise.

But I will bring you health and will heal you of your wounds— this is the LORD’s declaration— for they call you Outcast, Zion whom no one cares about.

Once I was alive apart from the law, but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life againand I died. The commandment that was meant for life resulted in death for me.For sin, seizing an opportunity through the commandment, deceived me, and through it killed me.So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy and just and good.Therefore, did what is good become death to me? Absolutely not! But sin, in order to be recognized as sin, was producing death in me through what is good, so that through the commandment, sin might become sinful beyond measure.For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am of the flesh, sold as a slave under sin.For I do not understand what I am doing, because I do not practice what I want to do, but I do what I hate.Now if I do what I do not want to do, I agree with the law that it is good.So now I am no longer the one doing it, but it is sin living in me.For I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh. For the desire to do what is good is with me, but there is no ability to do it.For I do not do the good that I want to do, but I practice the evil that I do not want to do.Now if I do what I do not want, I am no longer the one that does it, but it is the sin that lives in me.So I discover this law: When I want to do what is good, evil is present with me.For in my inner self I delight in God’s law,but I see a different law in the parts of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and taking me prisoner to the law of sin in the parts of my body.What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?

I said,“ LORD, be gracious to me; heal me, for I have sinned against you.”

Be gracious to me, LORD, for I am weak; heal me, LORD, for my bones are shaking;

I will heal their apostasy; I will freely love them, for my anger will have turned from him.

The Pharisee was standing and praying like this about himself:‘ God, I thank you that I’m not like other people— greedy, unrighteous, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.I fast twice a week; I give a tenth of everything I get.’“ But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even raise his eyes to heaven but kept striking his chest and saying,‘ God, have mercy on me, a sinner!’

A woman suffering from bleeding for twelve years, who had spent all she had on doctors and yet could not be healed by any,
