忍受试炼的人有福了，因为他经过考验以后必得生命的冠冕，这是主应许给爱他之人的。

使你们的信心既被考验，就比那被火试炼仍然能坏的金子更显宝贵，可以在耶稣基督显现的时候得着称赞、荣耀、尊贵。

倚靠耶和华的人好像锡安山，安稳坐镇，永不动摇。众山怎样围绕耶路撒冷，耶和华也照样围绕他的百姓，从今时直到永远。

就是为你们这些藉着信、蒙上帝大能保守的人，能获得他所预备、到末世要显现的救恩。

照着你们所领受的教导，在他里面生根建造，信心坚固，充满着感谢的心。

各人的工程必将显露，因为那日子要将它显明，有火把它暴露出来，这火要试炼各人的工程怎样。人在那根基上所建造的工程若能保得住，他将要得赏赐。人的工程若被烧了，他将损失，虽然他自己将得救，却要像从火里经过一样。

坚固门徒的心，劝他们持守他们的信仰，说：“我们进入上帝的国，必须经历许多艰难。”

所以你要对那些粉刷的人说：‘墙要倒塌，暴雨漫过。你们大冰雹啊，要降下，狂风要吹裂这墙。’看哪，这墙倒塌，人岂不是要问你们说：‘你们所粉刷的在哪里呢？’”所以主耶和华如此说：“我要发怒，使狂风吹裂它，在怒中令暴雨漫过，又发怒降下大冰雹，毁坏它。我要这样拆毁你们那粉饰的墙，把它夷为平地，以致根基露出；墙一倒塌，你们也要在其中灭亡。你们就知道我是耶和华。我要对墙和粉刷它的人发尽我的愤怒，我要对你们说：‘墙没有了！粉刷它的人也没有了！’这就是以色列的先知，他们指着耶路撒冷说预言，见到这城平安的异象，其实没有平安。这是主耶和华说的。”

他们栽于耶和华的殿中，发旺在我们上帝的院里。他们发白的时候仍结果子，而且鲜美多汁，好显明耶和华是正直的；他是我的磐石，在他毫无不义。

他必坐下如炼净银子的人，必洁净利未人，熬炼他们像金银一样；他们就凭公义献供物给耶和华。

我还告诉你，你是彼得，我要把我的教会建造在这磐石上，阴间的权柄不能胜过它。

又要他使基督因着你们的信住在你们心里，使你们既在爱中生根立基，
