忍受试炼的人是蒙福的；因为他经过考验以后，就要得到生命的冠冕，就是主应许给那些爱他之人的。

好让你们的信仰经过考验，就比那被火炼过仍然会朽坏的金子更加宝贵，能在耶稣基督显现的时候，被看为是可以得着称赞、荣耀和尊贵的。

依靠耶和华的人，就像锡安山，不致动摇，永远屹立。群山怎样环绕耶路撒冷，耶和华也怎样环绕他的子民，从今直到永远！

你们藉着信，在神的大能中蒙保守，以至于那预备好要在末世显现的救恩。

照着你们所受的教导，在他里面得以扎根、建造，在信仰上得以确立，在感谢中丰足有余。

每个人的工程将来要显露，因为那日子要把它显明；原来它要被火显现出来，这火要考验每个人的工程是怎样的。如果有人在那根基上面所建造的工程能存留得住，这个人就将得到报偿；如果有人的工程被烧掉，他就将受到损失，而他自己却将得救，但是会像从火里经过的那样。

坚固门徒们的心，鼓励他们持守信仰，说：“我们进入神的国，必须经过很多患难。”

他们被栽种在耶和华的殿中，在我们神的庭院中茂盛。他们在年老时仍然结果实，他们丰美并且青翠，以此宣告耶和华是正直的；他是我的磐石，在他没有不义。

他必安坐像熬炼、洁净银子之人，洁净利未的子孙，精炼他们像精炼金银那样；他们就必藉着公义向耶和华献供物。

我还告诉你：你是彼得，我要在这磐石上建立我的教会，阴间的门不能胜过它。

使基督藉着你们的信仰，住在你们心里；使你们在爱中扎根，根基稳固，
