在試煉中能夠忍耐到底的人有福了，因為他若經得起考驗，就會得到主應許賜給愛祂之人的生命冠冕。

這樣，你們的信心經過試驗便顯明是真實的，比那經過火煉仍會壞掉的金子更加寶貴，使你們可以在耶穌基督顯現時得到稱讚、榮耀和尊貴。

信靠耶和華的人就像錫安山永不動搖。群山怎樣環繞耶路撒冷，耶和華也怎樣保護祂的子民，從現在直到永遠。

你們這些因信而蒙上帝用大能保守的人，必能得到那已經預備好、在末世要顯明的救恩。

按照你們所受的教導在祂裡面扎根成長，信心堅固，滿懷感恩。

每個人的工程將來都會顯明出來，因為到了審判的日子，必用火試驗各人工程的品質。人在這根基上所建造的工程若經得起考驗，他必獲得獎賞。人的工程若被燒毀了，他必遭受損失，自己雖然可以得救，卻像火裡逃生一樣。

堅固各地門徒的信心，鼓勵他們要持守信仰，並且說：「我們在進入上帝國的道路上必經歷許多苦難。」

所以，你要警告那些粉刷白灰的人，說，『牆必倒塌，暴雨要來臨，冰雹勢必降下，狂風也必大作。』牆倒塌之後，一定會有人問，『你們粉飾的白灰在哪裡呢？』主耶和華說，『我必在烈怒中用狂風暴雨和冰雹來摧毀這牆，我必把你們粉飾的牆夷為平地，使其露出根基。牆倒塌的時候，你們必葬身其中。這樣，你們就知道我是耶和華。我要向這牆和粉飾這牆的人發怒，懲罰他們。我告訴你們，這牆完了！粉飾這牆的人也完了！』他們就是那些向耶路撒冷說假預言，在沒有平安的時候宣稱看到了平安異象的以色列先知。這是主耶和華說的。」

他們栽在耶和華的殿中，他們在我們上帝的院子裡長得枝繁葉茂。他們到老仍然結果子，一片青翠，宣揚說：「耶和華公正無私，祂是我的磐石，祂裡面毫無不義。」

祂要坐下來，像煉淨銀子的人那樣潔淨利未的子孫，像熬煉金銀一樣熬煉他們，使他們憑公義向耶和華獻祭。

我告訴你，你是彼得，我要在這磐石上建立我的教會，陰間的勢力不能勝過它。

使基督藉著你們的信心住在你們心裡，使你們在愛中扎根、堅立，
