You may think you can condemn such people, but you are just as bad, and you have no excuse! When you say they are wicked and should be punished, you are condemning yourself, for you who judge others do these very same things.And we know that God, in his justice, will punish anyone who does such things.

Don’t speak evil against each other, dear brothers and sisters. If you criticize and judge each other, then you are criticizing and judging God’s law. But your job is to obey the law, not to judge whether it applies to you.God alone, who gave the law, is the Judge. He alone has the power to save or to destroy. So what right do you have to judge your neighbor?

So why do you condemn another believer? Why do you look down on another believer? Remember, we will all stand before the judgment seat of God.For the Scriptures say,“‘ As surely as I live,’ says the Lord,‘ every knee will bend to me, and every tongue will declare allegiance to God.’”Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God.So let’s stop condemning each other. Decide instead to live in such a way that you will not cause another believer to stumble and fall.

“ And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own?

As for me, it matters very little how I might be evaluated by you or by any human authority. I don’t even trust my own judgment on this point.My conscience is clear, but that doesn’t prove I’m right. It is the Lord himself who will examine me and decide.So don’t make judgments about anyone ahead of time— before the Lord returns. For he will bring our darkest secrets to light and will reveal our private motives. Then God will give to each one whatever praise is due.

Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye.

Those who feel free to eat anything must not look down on those who don’t. And those who don’t eat certain foods must not condemn those who do, for God has accepted them.Who are you to condemn someone else’s servants? Their own master will judge whether they stand or fall. And with the Lord’s help, they will stand and receive his approval.

For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged.

Shame on you! Your sins are so terrible that you make your sisters seem righteous, even virtuous.“ But someday I will restore the fortunes of Sodom and Samaria, and I will restore you, too.Then you will be truly ashamed of everything you have done, for your sins make them feel good in comparison.Yes, your sisters, Sodom and Samaria, and all their people will be restored, and at that time you also will be restored.In your proud days you held Sodom in contempt.

Dear brothers and sisters, not many of you should become teachers in the church, for we who teach will be judged more strictly.

Hear this message from the Lord, all you who tremble at his words:“ Your own people hate you and throw you out for being loyal to my name.‘ Let the Lord be honored!’ they scoff.‘ Be joyful in him!’ But they will be put to shame.
