且爾中孰能憑其思慮、而自延尺寸之壽命？

Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?

Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?

Can any of you add one moment to his life span by worrying?

And which of you by worrying can add a single day to his life’s span?

Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

And which of you by being anxious can add one cubit unto the measure of his life?

Can any of you add a single cubit to his height by worrying?

Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

And which of you by worrying can add even one hour to his life?

“ Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan?

I know that everything God does will last forever. Nothing can be added to it. And nothing can be taken from it. God does that so people will have respect for him.

Can you add even one hour to your life by worrying?You can’t do that very little thing. So why worry about the rest?

You have given me only a few days to live. My whole life doesn’t seem like anything to you. No one lasts any longer than a breath. This is true even for those who feel secure.People are only shadows as they go here and there. They rush around, but it doesn’t mean anything. They pile up wealth, but they don’t know who will finally get it.

And do not make a promise in your own name. You can’t make even one hair of your head white or black.

God has placed each part in the body just as he wanted it to be.
