他賜食物給走獸，給啼叫的小烏鴉。

烏鴉之雛因無食物走來走去、向上帝呼救時、誰為牠豫備糧食呢？

兩隻麻雀不是賣「一日工錢」的十分之一麼？然而沒有一隻能在你們的父以外掉在地上的。你們呢，就是你們的頭髮也都被數過呢。所以別怕了；你們、比麻雀貴重得多呢。

萬物的眼都仰望着你；你按時節給他們食物。你展開了手，使眾生都隨願飽足。

你們察看烏鴉，牠們不撒種，也不收割；沒有庫，也沒有倉；上帝尚且供養牠們；你們比飛鳥多麼貴重啊！你們中間誰能用掛慮使他的歲數多加一刻鐘呢？那麼這最小的事、你們尚且不能作，為甚麼還掛慮其餘的事呢？你們察看百合花，它怎樣不紡績，不編織；然而我告訴你們，就是所羅門在他極盛的榮華時所披戴的、還不如這些花的一朵呢！野地裏的草、今天還在、明天就丟在爐子裏的、上帝尚且這樣衣覆它們，他更要衣覆你們到怎樣啊，小信的人哪！你們別尋求喫其麼，喝甚麼了；也別掛心了。因為這一切、世上的外國人都切求着；你們的父實知道你們需用這一切的。然而你們要尋求他的國，這些東西就都加給你們了。小羣哪，別怕了；因為你們的父樂意將國賜給你們。

它們這些活物都仰望着你按時給牠們食物。你給了牠們，牠們便撿起來；你展開了手，牠們就飽飫美食。

五個麻雀不是賣「一日工錢」的十分之二麼？但在上帝面前、就是其中的一個也不被忘了的。其實連你們的頭髮也都被數過呢！別怕了；你們比麻雀貴重得多呢。

你們中間有甚麼人，他兒子向他求餅，反把石頭遞給他呢？

他教導我們多於教導地上的走獸，使我們比空中的飛鳥聰明、能曉得他在哪裏」。

上帝說：『看哪，我將全地上結種子的各樣菜蔬、和各樣的樹、樹上有果實結種子的、都賜給你們做食物。至於地上各樣走獸、空中各樣飛鳥、和爬在地上的各樣活物、裏面有生命的、我卻將菜蔬所有的青葉子給他們做食物：』就這樣成了。上帝看看他一切所造的都很好。有晚上有早晨，是第六日。

使野地的走獸有水喝，野驢得以解渴。空中的飛鳥在水旁住宿，在枝條間出聲啼叫。

因為這一切、外國人都切求着；你們的天父知道你們需用這一切。
