“不要为自己积攒财宝在地上；地上有虫子咬，能锈坏，也有贼挖窟窿来偷。

“不要为自己在地上积蓄财宝；地上有虫子咬，能锈坏，也有贼挖洞来偷。

“不要为自己在地上积蓄财宝；地上有虫子咬，能锈坏，也有贼挖洞来偷。

“不要为自己在世上积攒财宝，世上有虫子咬，会生锈，又有贼闯进来偷。

“不可为自己在地上积聚财宝，因为地上有虫蛀，有锈侵蚀，也有贼挖洞来偷。

“你们不要为自己在地上积蓄财宝，地上有虫蛀，会锈蚀，也有盗贼钻进来偷窃；

「不要為自己積攢財寶在地上；地上有蟲子咬，能銹壞，也有賊挖窟窿來偷。

「你們不要為自己在地上積蓄財寶，地上有蟲蛀，會鏽蝕，也有盜賊鑽進來偷竊；

勿積財於地、其處蠹蝕銹壞、盜穴而竊之、

勿積財於地蠹食銹壞、盜穴而竊之處、

勿積財於地、彼有蠹蝕朽壞、有盜穿窬而竊、

爾毋儲富於地；蠹蝕焉、銹敗焉、竊者穿窬而盜焉。

“ Do not accumulate for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal.

“ Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal;

你們生活的風度不可貪愛銀錢；要以現有的為足；因為上帝親自說過：『我必定不放開你，必定不撇棄你』；

為自己積藏財寶、而對上帝不富足的、就是這樣。』

來，如今請注意！富足的人哪，應當因你們的慘難、那將要臨到的慘難、來哭泣號咷。你們的財富朽壞了；你們的衣裳給蟲子蛀了；你們的金銀長鏽了；它們的鏽必作證定你們的罪，必像火一樣喫你們的肉。在末後的日子，你們還積藏了財寶！

不可勞勞碌碌去求富；以你的聰明、你可別再那樣了。你的眼不是剛飛及錢財，而錢財就沒有了麼？因為錢財是會長翅膀，如鷹向天上飛去的。

只要有養生和遮身之物，就該以此為足。但那些定意要致富的人就陷落試誘和網羅、跟許多無知而有害的私慾、令人沉沒於敗壞和滅亡中的私慾。因為貪財即是萬惡之根；有人一心要貪財，就受迷離背了信仰，拿許多傷痛刺透了自己。

現今世富足的人呢、你要囑咐他們別存着高傲的心，不要把盼望釘住於財富之無定上，卻要釘住於那將萬物豐豐富富供給我們享受、的上帝；

耶穌聽見了，就對他說，『你還缺了一件：要變賣你一切所有的，以分給窮人，你就有財寶在天上；你來吧，來跟從我。』

得智慧勝過得黃金；得明達勝於選得銀子。

你們要變賣資財來施捨，為自己豫備永不舊的錢囊，用不盡的財寶在天上；那裏沒有賊能走近，也沒有蟲能毁壞。

當永恆主震怒的日子、他們的銀子或金子都不能援救他們；但在永恆主妒憤的怒火中全地都必被燒滅；因為他必將這地所有的居民完全毁滅，而且很可怕地毁滅。

貪愛銀子的、不因得銀子而知足；貪愛財富的、不因得收入而知足；這也是虛空。財物加多，喫的人也加多；物主得了甚麼益處呢？不過是眼看着罷了。勞力的人不拘喫少喫多，其睡眠總是香甜；但富人之飽飫卻不容他安睡。我看日光之下有一宗大禍患：就是財富積守着、反而害到財主；因事業之不景氣，財富都失掉；人生了兒子，手裏卻一無所有。

當上帝震怒的日子、財富也無益；惟有仁義的賙濟能援救人免致早死。

耶穌看他，就說：『有錢財的人進上帝的國、何等的難哪！

不要靠勒索之利，也不要因搶奪而變為虛妄；資財若生息增加，不要放在心上。

人走來走去、簡直是影兒；悲哀歎息不過是虛幻；他積聚着財寶，不知誰來收取。

耶穌對他說：『你若想要作到完全，就該去變賣你的資財、給予窮人，你就有財寶在天上；你來吧，來跟從我。』

『我若以金子為我所安心信賴的，而對黃金說：「你是我所倚靠」；

誰使上帝喜悅，上帝就給誰智慧、知識、和喜樂；惟有罪人、上帝卻給他勞苦，叫他將所收聚所積蓄的歸給那使上帝所喜悅的人：這也是虛空，也是捕風。
