But I say, if you are even angry with someone, you are subject to judgment! If you call someone an idiot, you are in danger of being brought before the court. And if you curse someone, you are in danger of the fires of hell.

but I say unto you, that every one who is angry with his brother shall be in danger of the judgment; and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council; and whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of the hell of fire.

But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

If anyone says,“ I love God,” yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For the person who does not love his brother he has seen cannot love the God he has not seen.And we have this command from Him: The one who loves God must also love his brother.

We know that we have passed from death to life because we love our brothers. The one who does not love remains in death.Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him.

Be angry and do not sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your anger,and don’t give the Devil an opportunity.

And the tongue is a fire. The tongue, a world of unrighteousness, is placed among the parts of our bodies. It pollutes the whole body, sets the course of life on fire, and is set on fire by hell.

All bitterness, anger and wrath, shouting and slander must be removed from you, along with all malice.And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.

to slander no one, to avoid fighting, and to be kind, always showing gentleness to all people.

when He was reviled, He did not revile in return; when He was suffering, He did not threaten but entrusted Himself to the One who judges justly.

Don’t fear those who kill the body but are not able to kill the soul; rather, fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

And being in torment in Hades, he looked up and saw Abraham a long way off, with Lazarus at his side.‘ Father Abraham!’ he called out,‘ Have mercy on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this flame!’

For there will never cease to be poor people in the land; that is why I am commanding you,‘ You must willingly open your hand to your afflicted and poor brother in your land.’

Then Peter came to Him and said,“ Lord, how many times could my brother sin against me and I forgive him? As many as seven times?”

Show family affection to one another with brotherly love. Outdo one another in showing honor.

As soon as it was morning, the chief priests had a meeting with the elders, scribes, and the whole Sanhedrin. After tying Jesus up, they led Him away and handed Him over to Pilate.

The chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin were looking for testimony against Jesus to put Him to death, but they could find none.

not paying back evil for evil or insult for insult but, on the contrary, giving a blessing, since you were called for this, so that you can inherit a blessing.

So My heavenly Father will also do to you if each of you does not forgive his brother from his heart.”

So the chief priests and the Pharisees convened the Sanhedrin and said,“ What are we going to do since this man does many signs?

Because people will hand you over to sanhedrins and flog you in their synagogues, beware of them.

They surround me with hateful words and attack me without cause.

But I tell you, don’t take an oath at all: either by heaven, because it is God’s throne;

A wise man is cautious and turns from evil, but a fool is easily angered and is careless.

if I have done harm to one at peace with me or have plundered my adversary without cause,

Then He will also say to those on the left,‘ Depart from Me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the Devil and his angels!

This means one must not transgress against and defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is an avenger of all these offenses, as we also previously told and warned you.

The chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin were looking for false testimony against Jesus so they could put Him to death.

If your hand or your foot causes your downfall, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or lame, than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into the eternal fire.And if your eye causes your downfall, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye, rather than to have two eyes and be thrown into hellfire!

You will be covered with shame and destroyed forever because of violence done to your brother Jacob.

So if you are offering your gift on the altar, and there you remember that your brother has something against you,leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled with your brother, and then come and offer your gift.

After He was perfected, He became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey Him,

“ This is the Moses who said to the Israelites, God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from among your brothers.

“ You have a demon!” the crowd responded.“ Who wants to kill You?”

no thieves, greedy people, drunkards, verbally abusive people, or swindlers will inherit God’s kingdom.

But I will show you the One to fear: Fear Him who has authority to throw people into hell after death. Yes, I say to you, this is the One to fear!

Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.

Then also, some of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers argued with him. Some said,“ What is this pseudo-intellectual trying to say?” Others replied,“ He seems to be a preacher of foreign deities”— because he was telling the good news about Jesus and the Resurrection.

Instead, believer goes to court against believer, and that before unbelievers!

Make sure that you do not reject the One who speaks. For if they did not escape when they rejected Him who warned them on earth, even less will we if we turn away from Him who warns us from heaven.

Do not gloat over your brother in the day of his calamity; do not rejoice over the people of Judah in the day of their destruction; do not boastfully mock in the day of distress.

Yet Michael the archangel, when he was disputing with the Devil in a debate about Moses’ body, did not dare bring an abusive condemnation against him but said,“ The Lord rebuke you!”

Shimei said as he cursed:“ Get out, get out, you worthless murderer!

After they brought them in, they had them stand before the Sanhedrin, and the high priest asked,

No one who waits for You will be disgraced; those who act treacherously without cause will be disgraced.

The people told him about the offer, concluding,“ That is what will be done for the man who kills him.”David’s oldest brother Eliab listened as he spoke to the men, and became angry with him.“ Why did you come down here?” he asked.“ Who did you leave those few sheep with in the wilderness? I know your arrogance and your evil heart— you came down to see the battle!”

and said,“ We have done our best to buy back our Jewish countrymen who were sold to foreigners, but now you sell your own countrymen, and we have to buy them back.” They remained silent and could not say a word.

But this happened so that the statement written in their scripture might be fulfilled: They hated Me for no reason.

Asa was angry with the seer and put him in prison because of his anger over this. And Asa mistreated some of the people at that time.

“ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to make one proselyte, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as fit for hell as you are!

“ Snakes! Brood of vipers! How can you escape being condemned to hell?

Refrain from anger and give up your rage; do not be agitated— it can only bring harm.

and that He may send Jesus, who has been appointed for you as the Messiah.Heaven must welcome Him until the times of the restoration of all things, which God spoke about by the mouth of His holy prophets from the beginning.Moses said: The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from among your brothers. You must listen to Him in everything He will say to you.And everyone who will not listen to that Prophet will be completely cut off from the people.

but He did not have regard for Cain and his offering. Cain was furious, and he looked despondent.Then the Lord said to Cain,“ Why are you furious? And why do you look despondent?

The fool says in his heart,“ God does not exist.” They are corrupt; they do vile deeds. There is no one who does good.

And if your hand causes your downfall, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life maimed than to have two hands and go to hell— the unquenchable fire,

Do not let my deceitful enemies rejoice over me; do not let those who hate me without cause look at me maliciously.

For no apparent reason, my enemies hunted me like a bird.

Those who hate me without cause are more numerous than the hairs of my head; my deceitful enemies, who would destroy me, are powerful. Though I did not steal, I must repay.

A stupid person does not know, a fool does not understand this:

He who makes a fortune unjustly is like a partridge that hatches eggs it didn’t lay. In the middle of his days his riches will abandon him, so in the end he will be a fool.

When David returned home to bless his household, Saul’s daughter Michal came out to meet him.“ How the king of Israel honored himself today!” she said.“ He exposed himself today in the sight of the slave girls of his subjects like a vulgar person would expose himself.”

And there came a voice from heaven: This is My beloved Son. I take delight in Him!

But I tell you, everyone who looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of the parts of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of the parts of your body than for your whole body to go into hell!

When the Pharisees heard this, they said,“ The man drives out demons only by Beelzebul, the ruler of the demons.”

Then Nebuchadnezzar was filled with rage, and the expression on his face changed toward Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. He gave orders to heat the furnace seven times more than was customary,

Foolish man! Are you willing to learn that faith without works is useless?

The Jews responded to Him,“ Aren’t we right in saying that You’re a Samaritan and have a demon?”

“ Are you really going to reign over us?” his brothers asked him.“ Are you really going to rule us?” So they hated him even more because of his dream and what he had said.

A fool’s lips lead to strife, and his mouth provokes a beating.

Because of this, the king became violently angry and gave orders to destroy all the wise men of Babylon.The decree was issued that the wise men were to be executed, and they searched for Daniel and his friends, to execute them.

So Ahab went to his palace resentful and angry because of what Naboth the Jezreelite had told him. He had said,“ I will not give you my fathers’ inheritance.” He lay down on his bed, turned his face away, and didn’t eat any food.

While he was still speaking, suddenly a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said: This is My beloved Son. I take delight in Him. Listen to Him!

Then Saul said,“ Listen, son of Ahitub!”“ I’m at your service, my lord,” he said.Saul asked him,“ Why did you and Jesse’s son conspire against me? You gave him bread and a sword and inquired of God for him, so he could rise up against me and wait in ambush, as is the case today.”Ahimelech replied to the king:“ Who among all your servants is as faithful as David? He is the king’s son-in-law, captain of your bodyguard, and honored in your house.Was today the first time I inquired of God for him? Of course not! Please don’t let the king make an accusation against your servant or any of my father’s household, for your servant didn’t have any idea about all this.”But the king said,“ You will die, Ahimelech— you and your father’s whole family!”Then the king ordered the guards standing by him,“ Turn and kill the priests of the Lord because they sided with David. For they knew he was fleeing, but they didn’t tell me.” But the king’s servants would not lift a hand to execute the priests of the Lord.So the king said to Doeg,“ Go and execute the priests!” So Doeg the Edomite went and executed the priests himself. On that day, he killed 85 men who wore linen ephods.He also struck down Nob, the city of the priests, with the sword— both men and women, children and infants, oxen, donkeys, and sheep.However, one of the sons of Ahimelech son of Ahitub escaped. His name was Abiathar, and he fled to David.Abiathar told David that Saul had killed the priests of the Lord.Then David said to Abiathar,“ I knew that Doeg the Edomite was there that day and that he was sure to report to Saul. I myself am responsible for the lives of everyone in your father’s family.Stay with me. Don’t be afraid, for the one who wants to take my life wants to take your life. You will be safe with me.”

For one can see that wise men die; foolish and stupid men also pass away. Then they leave their wealth to others.

When his brothers saw that their father loved him more than all his brothers, they hated him and could not bring themselves to speak peaceably to him.

When Haman saw that Mordecai was not bowing down or paying him homage, he was filled with rage.And when he learned of Mordecai’s ethnic identity, Haman decided not to do away with Mordecai alone. He planned to destroy all of Mordecai’s people, the Jews, throughout Ahasuerus’s kingdom.

Then in a furious rage Nebuchadnezzar gave orders to bring in Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. So these men were brought before the king.

But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

For John did not come eating or drinking, and they say,‘ He has a demon!’The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say,‘ Look, a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ Yet wisdom is vindicated by her deeds.”

Saul was furious and resented this song.“ They credited tens of thousands to David,” he complained,“ but they only credited me with thousands. What more can he have but the kingdom?”So Saul watched David jealously from that day forward.

Then Saul became angry with Jonathan and shouted,“ You son of a perverse and rebellious woman! Don’t I know that you are siding with Jesse’s son to your own shame and to the disgrace of your mother?Every day Jesse’s son lives on earth you and your kingship are not secure. Now send for him and bring him to me— he deserves to die.”Jonathan answered his father back:“ Why is he to be killed? What has he done?”Then Saul threw his spear at Jonathan to kill him, so he knew that his father was determined to kill David.

I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers. I will put My words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him.I will hold accountable whoever does not listen to My words that he speaks in My name.
