要知道，每个人都将被火腌成咸的。盐是好的，但如果那盐也不咸了，还能用什么来调味呢？你们里面要有盐，要彼此和睦。”

原来，如果有人蒙过一次光照、尝过属天恩赐的滋味、曾经与圣灵有份、尝过神美善的话语和将要来临之世代的权能，却背弃了真理，就不可能再次更新以至于悔改了。因为他们亲自把神的儿子再次钉上十字架，公然羞辱他。

原来，他们如果藉着认识我们的主、救主耶稣基督而逃脱这世界的污秽，却又被这些污秽纠缠、制伏了，那么，他们最后的情况就比先前更坏了；因为认识了义的道路以后，背离那交托给他们的神圣诫命，对他们来说，倒不如不认识还好。
