And as He walked by the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.Then Jesus said to them,“ Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.”They immediately left their nets and followed Him.When He had gone a little farther from there, He saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the boat mending their nets.And immediately He called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants, and went after Him.

Jesus departed from there, skirted the Sea of Galilee, and went up on the mountain and sat down there.

So it was, as the multitude pressed about Him to hear the word of God, that He stood by the Lake of Gennesaret,and saw two boats standing by the lake; but the fishermen had gone from them and were washing their nets.Then He got into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. And He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat.When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon,“ Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”But Simon answered and said to Him,“ Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.”And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying,“ Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!”For he and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish which they had taken;and so also were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon,“ Do not be afraid. From now on you will catch men.”So when they had brought their boats to land, they forsook all and followed Him.

And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.

After these things Jesus went over the Sea of Galilee, which is the Sea of Tiberias.

the plain also, with the Jordan as the border, from Chinnereth as far as the east side of the Sea of the Arabah( the Salt Sea), below the slopes of Pisgah.

After these things Jesus showed Himself again to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberias, and in this way He showed Himself:

So he departed from there, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he was with the twelfth. Then Elijah passed by him and threw his mantle on him.And he left the oxen and ran after Elijah, and said,“ Please let me kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow you.” And he said to him,“ Go back again, for what have I done to you?”So Elisha turned back from him, and took a yoke of oxen and slaughtered them and boiled their flesh, using the oxen’s equipment, and gave it to the people, and they ate. Then he arose and followed Elijah, and became his servant.

He also chose David His servant, And took him from the sheepfolds;From following the ewes that had young He brought him, To shepherd Jacob His people, And Israel His inheritance.So he shepherded them according to the integrity of his heart, And guided them by the skillfulness of his hands.

Again, departing from the region of Tyre and Sidon, He came through the midst of the region of Decapolis to the Sea of Galilee.

Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Now the Angel of the Lord came and sat under the terebinth tree which was in Ophrah, which belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, while his son Gideon threshed wheat in the winepress, in order to hide it from the Midianites.And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him, and said to him,“ The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor!”

But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are,that no flesh should glory in His presence.

Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.”

One of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to Him,

Then Amos answered, and said to Amaziah:“ I was no prophet, Nor was I a son of a prophet, But I was a sheepbreeder And a tender of sycamore fruit.Then the Lord took me as I followed the flock, And the Lord said to me,‘ Go, prophesy to My people Israel.’
