and saying,“ The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.”

And as you go, preach, saying,‘ The kingdom of heaven has come near.’

For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death.

“ Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet that was cast into the sea and gathered fish of every kind;

Jesus responded and said to him,“ Truly, truly, I say to you, unless someone is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”Nicodemus* said to Him,“ How can a person be born when he is old? He cannot enter his mother’s womb a second time and be born, can he?”Jesus answered,“ Truly, truly, I say to you, unless someone is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

and heal those in it who are sick, and say to them,‘ The kingdom of God has come near to you.’But whatever city you enter and they do not receive you, go out into its streets and say,‘ Even the dust of your city which clings to our feet we wipe off in protest against you; yet be sure of this, that the kingdom of God has come near.’

No, I tell you, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.”

The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not willing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance.

At that time the disciples came to Jesus and said,“ Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”And He called a child to Himself and set him among them,and said,“ Truly I say to you, unless you change and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.So whoever will humble himself like this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

“ Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

The men of Nineveh will stand up with this generation at the judgment, and will condemn it because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and behold, something greater than Jonah is here.

“ The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in the field, which a man found and hid again; and from joy over it he goes and sells everything that he has, and buys that field.“ Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking fine pearls,

“ Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

He spoke another parable to them:“ The kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three sata of flour until it was all leavened.”

I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety nine righteous people who have no need of repentance.

And they went out and preached that people are to repent.

with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth,

For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son,

But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you.

Therefore I retract, And I repent, sitting on dust and ashes.”

So having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now proclaiming to mankind that all people everywhere are to repent,

Say to them,‘ As I live!’ declares the Lord God,‘ I take no pleasure at all in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn back, turn back from your evil ways! Why then should you die, house of Israel?’

solemnly testifying to both Jews and Greeks of repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

“ For it is just like a man about to go on a journey, who called his own slaves and entrusted his possessions to them.

Therefore leaving the elementary teaching about the Christ, let us press on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,

Jesus presented another parable to them, saying,“ The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field.

So you too, when you see these things happening, recognize that the kingdom of God is near.
