然后坐在那里看守。

站在对面的百夫长看见耶稣喊叫断气的情形，便说：“这人真是上帝的儿子！”

祂说信靠上帝，如果上帝喜悦祂，就让上帝来救祂吧！因为祂自称是上帝的儿子。”

百夫长见此情形，便赞美上帝，说：“这人的确是个义人。”围观的人见状，无不捶胸顿足黯然离去。耶稣熟识的人和从加利利跟着祂来的妇女们都站在远处观看。

千夫长马上带着军兵和几个百夫长赶来了。众人一见千夫长和军队，便停止殴打保罗。

但百夫长为了救保罗，不准他们轻举妄动，下令会游泳的先跳到海里游上岸。

耶稣到了迦百农，一个百夫长前来向祂求助，说：

于是，千夫长召来两名百夫长，吩咐道：“预备二百名步兵、七十名骑兵、二百名长枪手，今晚九时出发去凯撒利亚。

他们决定让我们坐船去意大利，于是将保罗和其他囚犯都交给一位皇家兵团的百夫长犹流看管。

试探者前来对祂说：“如果你是上帝的儿子，可以叫这些石头变成食物。”

保罗请来一位百夫长，说：“请赶快带这青年去见千夫长，他有要事禀告！”

“你这声称把圣殿拆毁又在三天内重建的人啊，救救自己吧！你要是上帝的儿子，就从十字架上下来吧！”

耶稣还是沉默不语。大祭司又对祂说：“我奉永活上帝的名命令你起誓告诉我们，你是不是上帝的儿子基督？”

王再次派一个五十夫长率领五十人前去。五十夫长上去，双膝跪在以利亚面前，哀求道：“上帝的仆人啊，求你饶了我和你的五十名仆人的性命。前两个五十夫长和他们的部下都被天上降下的火烧死了，现在求你饶我一命！”

在凯撒利亚有一位隶属意大利营的百夫长名叫哥尼流。

他们都问：“那么，你是上帝的儿子吗？”耶稣回答说：“你们说我是。”

他们听了彼得的话，觉得扎心，就对彼得和其他使徒说：“弟兄们，我们该怎么办呢？”

就在那一刻，发生了强烈的地震，那座城的十分之一倒塌了，因地震死亡的共七千人，生还者都在恐惧中将荣耀归给天上的上帝。

狱卒叫人拿灯过来，冲进内牢，战战兢兢地俯伏在保罗和西拉面前。狱卒领他们出来后问道：“两位先生，我该怎样做才能得救？”

犹太人回答说：“我们有律法，按照那律法，祂应当被处死，因为祂自称是上帝的儿子。”

从圣洁的灵来看，祂从死里复活，用大能显明自己是上帝的儿子。
