十二徒中有名茹答斯、依斯加略者、往見司祭長曰：「予如以耶穌獻爾、將何以為酬？」彼輩乃授以銀三十兩。自是茹答斯心存鬻主、將待機而發矣。

言未已、而其十二門徒之一、茹答斯者、果引眾、手刃持梃而至、皆司祭長經生及長老之所派也。先是鬻主者曾予眾以號曰：『我所吻者即是、爾等當執而縛送之。』既至、即趨前呼曰：『夫子！』且當眾而吻之。眾乃下手執之。

既食餅、魔乃暢入其心。耶穌謂之曰：『汝所進行者、從速為之！』

言末竟、而眾已至、十二徒之一名茹答斯者、為之先導、趨耶穌而吻之、耶穌曰：『茹答斯汝竟以一吻付人子耶？』

時茹答斯乃領兵士一隊、與司祭長法利塞人所派人員、提燈炬、執武器而至。

司祭長與經生正謀所以殺耶穌、第畏民眾。十二徒中、有茹答斯亦名依斯加略者、魔入其心、往謁司祭長及司堂董、建議如何交付耶穌、眾皆悅、許以酬金。茹答斯既諾、乃伺良機、欲俟其不與群眾同處時而執之。

晚餐時、魔鬼已以鬻主之意、投入西門子茹答斯依斯加略之心。

言際、十二徒之一茹答斯者果至、群人手刃興梃而隨之、蓋均為司祭長及民間耆老所遣者。鬻主者先已示眾以密號曰：『予與親吻者即是、可速執之。』至是乃趨耶穌之前、曰：『夫子平安！』且與之吻。耶穌曰：『友乎、爾來何為？』於是眾蠭擁而至、遂執耶穌。
