大司祭怒而裂衣曰：『彼言僭妄、更需何證。君等盡聞；

令匪類二人作證、曰、爾詛上帝與王。遂曳之出、擊之以石、而斃其命。邑人與長老世職、遵耶洗別書所言而行、使民禁食、在民間舉拿泊於高坐。其時匪類二人進、而坐於前、以作證、訟拿泊曰、拿泊詛上帝與王。乃解之至邑外、石擊斃命。
