“ Truly I tell you,” Jesus answered,“ this very night, before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times.”

“ What I’m about to tell you is true,” Jesus answered.“ It will happen tonight. Before the rooster crows, you will say three times that you don’t know me.”

Jesus said to him,“ Truly, I tell you, this very night, before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.”

Jesus replied,“ I tell you the truth, Peter— this very night, before the rooster crows, you will deny three times that you even know me.”

Then Peter remembered what Jesus had said:“ Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” And he went outside and wept bitterly.

Jesus said to him,“ I tell you the truth, today– this very night– before a rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.”But Peter insisted emphatically,“ Even if I must die with you, I will never deny you.” And all of them said the same thing.
