司祭諸長及法利塞人、乃召集會議、僉曰：『斯人多行異蹟、吾輩將何以處之？若聽其所為、則眾庶咸將信之、而羅馬人必至而奪吾土吾民矣。』其中有名蓋法者、值歲之總司祭也、告眾曰：『汝曹無知、盍思一人代萬眾死、以免舉國淪亡、於汝曹固有益乎？』此言非由己出、實緣渠適為本歲總司祭、故於無意中豫言耶穌之將為民犧牲；然奚止為一國之民而已哉？即普天率土之天主子女、亦將會而集之、使成一體。自此、若輩處心積慮、共謀所以殺耶穌。

蓋亞納已將耶穌縛送總司祭蓋法處矣。

伯鐸祿遙尾耶穌後、入大司祭院宇、與眾僕圍火坐以取暖。

復以聖神假爾僕大維之口而言曰：「何列國之擾攘兮何萬民之猖狂。世酋蠭起兮、跋扈飛揚。意圖背叛天主兮、反抗受命之王。」今希祿與般雀‧比辣多果率異邦及義塞之人民、群集於城、反抗爾之聖子耶穌即爾所膏沐、以奉行爾所手訂之聖謨者也。

先解至亞納處。亞納者、乃是歲總司祭蓋法之岳父、而蓋法即曩時向猶太人宣告「死一人以活萬民、實計之得」者也。西門伯鐸祿尾耶穌後、另有一徒與偕。是徒素與總司祭相識、遂得與耶穌同入總司祭署；

何列邦之擾攘兮。何萬民之猖狂。世酋蠭起兮。跋扈飛揚。共圖背叛天主兮。反抗受命之王。

平旦、眾曳耶穌出蓋法署、解往督轅、而眾未遽入、恐為所浼而不得食免難羔也。

耶穌被執、曳至大司祭該法署中、經生耆老群集於斯。伯鐸祿遙尾其後、既至大司祭院中、乃與隸役共坐、以觀事之究竟。

翌日、有司、長老、經生會於耶路撒冷、大司祭亞納及蓋法若翰亞力山大與大司祭戚屬咸集、

泯泯棼棼。顚倒是非。畜意加害。運其心機。

磨礪其舌。利矣其芒。言如暗箭。中傷賢良。突然而發。得意洋洋。以惡相勸。逞其猖狂。設阱陷人。自誇謀臧。

司祭長及法利塞人既聞其喻知指彼等而言也；欲執之、而懾於民情；蓋眾皆奉彼為先知也。

兇逆居上位。弄法施暴虐。害良殺無辜。豈能邀主悅。

亞納蓋法方司教事；時沙加理子如望在曠野、奉天主諭、

伯鐸祿時坐院外、有使女詣其前曰：『爾與彼加利利人耶穌夙為同夥。』
