中夜有呼曰、新娶者至矣、爾出迎之、

中夜呼云、新娶者至矣、出迎之、

子夜忽有聲呼曰：「新壻來矣其出迎之！」

“ At midnight the cry rang out:‘ Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’

“ At midnight someone cried out,‘ Here’s the groom! Come out to meet him!’

But at midnight there was a cry,‘ Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’

“ At midnight they were roused by the shout,‘ Look, the bridegroom is coming! Come out and meet him!’

“ In the middle of the night there was a shout:‘ Here’s the groom! Come out to meet him.’

But at midnight there finally was a shout:‘ Behold, the groom! Come out to meet him.’

“ And at midnight a cry was heard:‘ Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’

But at midnight there is a cry, Behold, the bridegroom! Come ye forth to meet him.

“ In the middle of the night there was a shout:‘ Here’s the groom! Come out to meet him.’

And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

But at midnight there was a shout,‘ Look, the bridegroom is here! Come out to meet him.’

But at midnight there was a cry,‘ Behold! The bridegroom is coming! Come out to meet him!’

“ I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come,” says the Lord Almighty.But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner’s fire or a launderer’s soap. (niv)

“ At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. (niv)

So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him. (niv)

And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. (niv)

In that day they will say,“ Surely this is our God; we trusted in him, and he saved us. This is the Lord, we trusted in him; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation.” (niv)

“ Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voiceand come out— those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned. (niv)

let them sing before the Lord, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples with equity. (niv)

The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the unbelievers. (niv)

Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about them:“ See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy onesto judge everyone, and to convict all of them of all the ungodly acts they have committed in their ungodliness, and of all the defiant words ungodly sinners have spoken against him.” (niv)

Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come.It’s like a man going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with their assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch.“ Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back— whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn.If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping.What I say to you, I say to everyone:‘ Watch!’” (niv)

Let all creation rejoice before the Lord, for he comes, he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples in his faithfulness. (niv)

“ But God said to him,‘ You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’ (niv)

Our God comes and will not be silent; a fire devours before him, and around him a tempest rages.He summons the heavens above, and the earth, that he may judge his people:“ Gather to me this consecrated people, who made a covenant with me by sacrifice.”And the heavens proclaim his righteousness, for he is a God of justice. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare. (niv)

and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels.He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his mighton the day he comes to be glorified in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed. This includes you, because you believed our testimony to you. (niv)

It will be good for those servants whose master finds them ready, even if he comes in the middle of the night or toward daybreak.But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into.You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.” (niv)

Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready.Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear.”( Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of God’s holy people.)Then the angel said to me,“ Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!” And he added,“ These are the true words of God.” (niv)

Now, brothers and sisters, about times and dates we do not need to write to you,for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.While people are saying,“ Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. (niv)

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. (niv)

“ Therefore this is what I will do to you, Israel, and because I will do this to you, Israel, prepare to meet your God.” (niv)
