For the foolish, when they took their lamps, took no oil with them:

愚拙的拿着灯，却不预备油；

五个糊涂的只顾拿着灯，却不预备油；

那些愚蠢的拿着灯，却没有带油；

那些愚拙的童女带着她们的灯，却没有带油；

愚拙的拿着燈，卻不預備油；

愚拙的拿着燈，卻沒有帶油；

愚拙的拿着燈，卻沒有帶油；

五個糊塗的只顧拿著燈，卻不預備油；

那些愚蠢的拿著燈，卻沒有帶油；

愚拙的拿着火把，沒有帶着油；

那些愚拙的童女帶著她們的燈，卻沒有帶油；

愚者執燈而未備油、

愚者執燈而油不備、

愚者執燈、而不備油、

愚者持燈、而無餘油；

The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them.

For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them,

The five who were foolish didn’t take enough olive oil for their lamps,

I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.So because thou art lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spew thee out of my mouth.

holding a form of godliness, but having denied the power thereof: from these also turn away.

Hear ye this, O house of Jacob, who are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah; who swear by the name of Jehovah, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness( for they call themselves of the holy city, and stay themselves upon the God of Israel; Jehovah of hosts is his name):

Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways: as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God, they ask of me righteous judgments; they delight to draw near unto God.

looking carefully lest there be any man that falleth short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby the many be defiled;

And to the angel of the church in Sardis write: These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars: I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and thou art dead.

if, when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people;

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye cleanse the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full from extortion and excess.Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first the inside of the cup and of the platter, that the outside thereof may become clean also.
