那领了五千两银子的，带着另外的五千两上前来，说：‘主啊，你交托给我五千两银子，请看，我另外赚了五千两。’

那領五千銀子的又帶着那另外的五千來，說：『主啊，你交給我五千銀子。請看，我又賺了五千。』

受五千者至、又攜五千曰、主付我五千、又獲五千矣、

受五他連得者至、又攜五他連得曰、主人、付我五他連得、我因之又獲五他連得、

受五千者、攜同贏餘五千以至、而白主曰：「吾主昔以五千金見託予茲又獲五千。」

“ So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying,‘ Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.’

He who received the five talents came and brought another five talents, saying,‘ Lord, you delivered to me five talents. Behold, I have gained another five talents in addition to them.’

但是我不把自己的生命看為寶貴，為要跑盡我該跑的路程，完成從主耶穌所領受的服事工作，為神恩典的福音鄭重地做見證。

不過有人會說：「你有信仰；我有行為。」請給我看看你沒有行為的信仰，我也本於自己的行為給你看看我的信仰。

我在神、基督耶穌面前，就是將要審判活人、死人的那一位面前，藉著他的顯現和他的國度鄭重地勸誡你：你要傳福音，無論得時不得時，總要堅持；要以極大的耐心和各樣的教導責備人、告誡人、鼓勵人，因為時候將到，人們容忍不了健全的教義，反要順著自己的欲望，為自己的耳朵能被呵癢得舒服，去召聚許多教師。他們將掩耳不聽真理，卻轉向編造的故事。至於你，要在一切事上謹慎，忍受苦難，做傳福音者的工作，完成你的服事。事實上，我已經在被澆奠了；我離開世界的時候已經臨到了。那美好的仗，我已經打過了；該跑的路程，我已經跑盡了；當守的信仰，我已經持守了。此後，有那公義的冠冕為我存留，就是主——公義的審判者要在那一天回報給我的；不僅給我，也要給所有愛慕他顯現的人。

我也為此勞苦，藉著他在我裡面的大能作為而爭戰。

第一個前來說：『主啊，你的那一百銀幣，已經賺了一千。』「主人對他說：『做得好，好奴僕！因為你在最小的事上忠心，你就有權掌管十個城。』

但藉著神的恩典，我成了現在的我，並且神賜給我的恩典沒有落空。不但如此，我比任何使徒更加勞苦做工；其實不是我，而是與我同在的神的恩典。
