For[ the kingdom of heaven is] as a man travelling into a far country,[ who] called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.

“ Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them.

“ Again, here is what the kingdom of heaven will be like. A man was going on a journey. He sent for his slaves and put them in charge of his money.

“ For it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted to them his property.

“ Again, the Kingdom of Heaven can be illustrated by the story of a man going on a long trip. He called together his servants and entrusted his money to them while he was gone.

“ For it is just like a man about to go on a journey. He called his own servants and entrusted his possessions to them.

“ For it is just like a man about to go on a journey, who called his own slaves and entrusted his possessions to them.

“ For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them.

For it is as when a man, going into another country, called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.

“ For it is just like a man going on a journey. He called his own slaves and turned over his possessions to them.

“ For it is like a man going on a journey, who summoned his slaves and entrusted his property to them.

“ For it is like a man, going into another country, who called his own servants, and entrusted his goods to them.

Use hospitality one to another without grudging.As every man hath received the gift,[ even so] minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.If any man speak,[ let him speak] as the oracles of God; if any man minister,[ let him do it] as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

[ For the Son of man is] as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.

He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this[ man] to reign over us.And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.And another came, saying, Lord, behold,[ here is] thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin:For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow.And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee,[ thou] wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow:Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury?And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give[ it] to him that hath ten pounds.( And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.)For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him.But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay[ them] before me.

And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another[ divers] kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also[ is] Christ.For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether[ we be] Jews or Gentiles, whether[ we be] bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.For the body is not one member, but many.If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?If the whole body[ were] an eye, where[ were] the hearing? If the whole[ were] hearing, where[ were] the smelling?But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.And if they were all one member, where[ were] the body?But now[ are they] many members, yet but one body.And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:And those[ members] of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely[ parts] have more abundant comeliness.For our comely[ parts] have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that[ part] which lacked:That there should be no schism in the body; but[ that] the members should have the same care one for another.And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.[ Are] all apostles?[ are] all prophets?[ are] all teachers?[ are] all workers of miracles?

And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods.And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward.Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed.I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.So he called every one of his lord’s debtors[ unto him], and said unto the first, How much owest thou unto my lord?And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty.Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, An hundred measures of wheat. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and write fourscore.And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true[ riches]?And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own?

Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

For[ the kingdom of heaven is] as a man travelling into a far country,[ who] called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made[ them] other five talents.And likewise he that[ had received] two, he also gained other two.But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money.After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.His lord said unto him, Well done,[ thou] good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo,[ there] thou hast[ that is] thine.His lord answered and said unto him,[ Thou] wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and[ then] at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.Take therefore the talent from him, and give[ it] unto him which hath ten talents.For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country:

Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy,[ let us prophesy] according to the proportion of faith;Or ministry,[ let us wait] on[ our] ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth,[ let him do it] with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

Who then is Paul, and who[ is] Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?

Then began he to speak to the people this parable; A certain man planted a vineyard, and let it forth to husbandmen, and went into a far country for a long time.
