耶路撒冷乎、嗟爾殘殺先知、石擊天主星使之耶路撒冷乎！吾之欲集爾子女、如牝雞之覆翼其雛者、不已頻乎？而爾終莫之許也。

“耶路撒冷啊，耶路撒冷啊，你常杀害先知，又用石头打死那奉差遣到你这里来的人。我多次愿意聚集你的儿女，好像母鸡把小鸡聚集在翅膀底下，只是你们不愿意。

“ Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing.

“ Jerusalem! Jerusalem! You kill the prophets and throw stones in order to kill those who are sent to you. Many times I have wanted to gather your people together. I have wanted to be like a hen who gathers her chicks under her wings. And you would not let me!

“ O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you were not willing!

“ O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones God’s messengers! How often I have wanted to gather your children together as a hen protects her chicks beneath her wings, but you wouldn’t let me.

“ Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her. How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!

“ Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who have been sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were unwilling.

“ O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that killeth the prophets, and stoneth them that are sent unto her! how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

翼卵昫伏恩罔極。聖道保身洵不妄。

是宜歡欣踴躍、灑然而樂。蓋爾之天爵大矣。前輩先知被人迫辱、亦猶是耳。

『耶路撒冷乎！殘殺先知、石擊天主使臣之耶路撒冷乎！吾之欲集汝兒女、若牝禽之覆翼其雛者、不已頻乎！而汝終莫之許也！茲者爾室其墟矣。吾實語汝、而今而後、以至汝歡歌「奉主名而來者、洵堪頌揚」之日、汝將不得見吾矣。』

輾轉於牀榻。默憶歷深更。

主之正直峻於嶽。主之睿斷深於淵。

願主保小子。如保目中瞳。孵我於翼下。雍雍爾懷中。

二人作證既畢、將有猛獸出自無底深壑與之戰、勝而殺之、屍暴大邑通衢、斯邑可譬稱為索多瑪與埃及、即二證所奉之主、亦曾被釘死於此。

斯輩猶太人既殘殺主耶穌基督及眾先知、又復逐我同人、實天主之逆子、而人類之公敵也。

屆時命僕速客曰：「一切皆備、即請命駕。」客同聲辭謝；首曰：「予置一地、必須往視、請辭。」次曰：「予購十牛、須往試之、請辭。」又一人曰：「予方新婚、不克赴筵。」

遣僕速被柬者赴讌、皆不至；

自謂若生先祖之世、必不與之共流先知之血。

其國人素惡之、至是乃遣使追告、聲言不願其為王。迨得國而返、傳令召受金諸僕、欲一審其經營之所獲。一僕先至曰：「主之一金、生利十金。」主曰：「俞！忠僕哉！爾既忠於小事、可掌十邑。」其次至曰：「主之一金、生利五金。」主亦曰：「可掌五邑。」又次至曰：「主之金、依然在此、予受之即藏諸帕中。緣汝為人苛刻寡恩、不放而收、不播而獲、予甚懼主。」主曰：「惡哉僕乎！即以汝言、定汝之罪、汝既知予為人苛刻、不放而收、不播而獲、胡不以吾金存於錢肆、俾予歸時、亦得兼收本息乎？」遂命侍者奪其金、而畀諸獲有十金者、侍者曰：「主、彼已有十金矣。」主曰：「故予語爾、有得者當更益之、而無得者、並其所有而奪之矣。至我諸仇、不願予為其王者、曳來誅于吾前。」』言畢、前行、上耶路撒冷、將近白法基、伯大尼、折向忠果山、遣發二徒曰『爾入前村、將見一小驢繫焉。向無御之者、可解而牽之來、倘有人問爾、釋之何為、則答曰：主所需。』使者往、所遇悉如言、方解驢、主人問曰：『解之何為？』對曰：『主所需。』遂牽至耶穌前、解衣披驢、扶耶穌騎之、隨所至、人以己衣舖道。至忠果山下、群弟子歡忻踴躍、且以已往親睹之聖迹、同聲頌揚天主曰：『奉主名以臨、君王堪丕揚、太平寓天闕、光榮徹上蒼。』眾中有法利塞數人、謂耶穌曰：『夫子、請斥責汝徒。』耶穌應曰：『予實語爾、彼即噤口、石亦鳴矣。』耶穌將抵國都、望城而泣曰：『汝倘能於此日、恍然了悟平安之所自、豈不美乎？奈何至今！汝目猶有所蒙也。定期將至、爾敵將周圍築壘、四面相逼、夷爾墉堞、滅爾子民、將無一片之石、仍留他石之上、凡此皆緣汝不識寵眷之日故也。』

園戶執之、擊其一、殺其一、更以石斃其一。主乃遣他僕往索、其人數倍於前；園戶處之如故。

餘人且執其僕、辱而殺之！

爾昔呼籲危難中。我即援手將爾濟。我自雷霆深處應爾求。復於風波場中砥礪爾心志。吾民其諦聽。義塞其注意。異端愼無攻。邪神切莫事。我是雅瑋爾之主。攜爾脫離埃及地。但須爾張口。我必賜供飼。

爾等頑固強項、何曾心領割禮、而信奉教義。居常拂逆聖神、與爾列祖行同一轍。先知孰不為爾祖所凌辱乎？先知豫報聖者之來而爾祖殺之；今聖者已至、而爾曹又鬻而殺之矣！

長子意頗忿忿、不欲入、父乃出而勸之、

更遣一僕、復為其毆辱、亦徒手而返。三次命僕、又傷而逐之。園主曰：「將何以處此、且使吾愛子親往、若輩儻亦知敬歟？」詎意園戶見而互議曰：「此乃其嗣子、盍共殺之、產歸吾有矣。」

眾園戶執而撻之、無獲而返。乃遣他僕、亦被毆傷首。更遣一僕、且為所殺。如是更番遣使、或為所擊、或為所害。園主乃命其愛子親行、意「必敬畏吾子而屈服矣。」

吾又見婦人已因暢飲眾聖及諸為耶穌致命者之血、而酩酊矣。吾對之不勝驚訝駭異之至。
