“ When evening came, the owner of the vineyard said to his foreman,‘ Call the workers and pay them their wages, beginning with the last ones hired and going on to the first.’

Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob[ him]: the wages of him that is hired shall not abide with thee all night until the morning.

At his day thou shalt give[ him] his hire, neither shall the sun go down upon it; for he[ is] poor, and setteth his heart upon it: lest he cry against thee unto the LORD, and it be sin unto thee.

And they came near to the steward of Joseph’s house, and they communed with him at the door of the house,

For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;

And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is[ the book] of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

Who will render to every man according to his deeds:To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:

The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things[ done] in[ his] body, according to that he hath done, whether[ it be] good or bad.

And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom[ his] lord shall make ruler over his household, to give[ them their] portion of meat in due season?

So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house.

And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.

And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods.And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward.

And Abram said, Lord GOD, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house[ is] this Eliezer of Damascus?

Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all[ that] he had he put into his hand.And it came to pass from the time[ that] he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.And he left all that he had in Joseph’s hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was[ a] goodly[ person], and well favoured.

After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.

As every man hath received the gift,[ even so] minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
