But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning in Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. Having been warned in a dream, he withdrew to the district of Galilee,

And as they brought them out, one said,“ Escape for your life. Do not look back or stop anywhere in the valley. Escape to the hills, lest you be swept away.”And Lot said to them,“ Oh, no, my lords.Behold, your servant has found favor in your sight, and you have shown me great kindness in saving my life. But I cannot escape to the hills, lest the disaster overtake me and I die.Behold, this city is near enough to flee to, and it is a little one. Let me escape there— is it not a little one?— and my life will be saved!”He said to him,“ Behold, I grant you this favor also, that I will not overthrow the city of which you have spoken.

Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress.He led them by a straight way till they reached a city to dwell in.

But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying,“ Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.

that this is God, our God forever and ever. He will guide us forever.

And being warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they departed to their own country by another way.Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said,“ Rise, take the child and his mother, and flee to Egypt, and remain there until I tell you, for Herod is about to search for the child, to destroy him.”

You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will receive me to glory.

But Ananias answered,“ Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much evil he has done to your saints at Jerusalem.And here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on your name.”

They replied,“ Are you from Galilee too? Search and see that no prophet arises from Galilee.”

The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.

And Samuel said,“ How can I go? If Saul hears it, he will kill me.” And the Lord said,“ Take a heifer with you and say,‘ I have come to sacrifice to the Lord.’

Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:“ I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you in the way you should go.Oh that you had paid attention to my commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea;

But when Herod died, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,

Others said,“ This is the Christ.” But some said,“ Is the Christ to come from Galilee?Has not the Scripture said that the Christ comes from the offspring of David, and comes from Bethlehem, the village where David was?”
