But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning in Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. Having been warned in a dream, he withdrew to the district of Galilee,

But then he heard that Archelaus was king of Judea. Archelaus was ruling in place of his father Herod. This made Joseph afraid to go there. Joseph had been warned in a dream. So he went back to the land of Galilee instead.

他們在急難中呼求耶和華，耶和華就救他們脫離困苦；領他們走正直的路，使他們去到可居住的城巿。

他一直想著這些事，主的使者就在夢中向他顯現，說：“大衛的子孫約瑟，只管放膽把你的妻子馬利亞迎娶過來，因為她懷的孕是從聖靈來的。

因為這位神就是我們的神，直到永永遠遠；他必引導我們，直到我們死的時候。

後來他們在夢中得著指示不要回到希律那裡去，就從別的路回鄉去了。他們走了以後，主的使者在夢中向約瑟顯現，說：“起來，帶著孩子和他母親逃到埃及去，留在那裡，直到我再指示你，因為希律要尋找這孩子，把他殺掉。”

你要以你的訓言引領我，以後還要接我到榮耀裡去。

但亞拿尼亞回答：“主啊，我聽見許多人說起這個人，他在耶路撒冷作了許多苦害你聖徒的事；並且他在這裡得到祭司長的授權，要捆綁所有求告你名的人。”

他們回答：“你也是從加利利出來的嗎？你去考查一下，就知道先知是不會從加利利興起的。”

你出你入，耶和華要保護你，從現在直到永遠。

撒母耳說：“我怎能去呢？掃羅聽見了，必定殺我。”耶和華說：“你可以帶一頭母牛犢去，就說：‘我來是要向耶和華獻祭。’

耶和華你的救贖主，以色列的聖者，這樣說：‘我是耶和華你的神，是教導你，使你得益處的，是在你當行的道路上引導你的。但願你一向都留心聽從我的命令，這樣你的平安就像河水滔滔，你的公義就如海浪滾滾；

希律死後，在埃及，主的使者在夢中向約瑟顯現，

另有人說：“他是基督。”還有人說：“基督是從加利利出來的嗎？聖經不是說基督是大衛的後裔，是從大衛本鄉伯利恆出來的嗎？”
