這樣正應驗了以賽亞先知所說的：“他親自除去我們的軟弱，擔當我們的疾病。”

這就應驗了耶利米先知所說的：

這件事應驗了先知所說的：

如果這樣，經上預言這事必須發生，怎能應驗呢？”

但這整件事的發生，是要應驗先知書上的話。”那時，門徒都離開他逃跑了。

希律死後，在埃及，主的使者在夢中向約瑟顯現，

又囑咐他們不可替他張揚。這就應驗了以賽亞先知所說的：“看哪！我所揀選的僕人，我所愛，心裡所喜悅的；我要把我的靈賜給他，他必向萬國宣揚公理。

來到拿撒勒城住下，這樣就應驗了先知所說的：“他必稱為拿撒勒人。”

為了要應驗以賽亞先知所說的：“西布倫地、拿弗他利地，沿海之路，約旦河外，外族人的加利利啊！

主對他們說：“這就是我從前與你們同在的時候，對你們說過的話：摩西的律法、先知書和詩篇上所記關於我的一切事，都必定應驗。”

“弟兄們，經上的話，就是聖靈藉著大衛的口，預言那領人捉拿耶穌的猶大的事，是一定會應驗的。

士兵把他釘了十字架，就抽籤分他的衣服，

那時，希律王下手苦害教會中的幾個人，用刀殺了約翰的哥哥雅各。他見這事博得了猶太人的歡心，就在除酵節期間，再次捉拿彼得。捉到了，就把他關在監裡，交給四班士兵看守，每班四個人，打算過了逾越節，把他提出來交給民眾。

他不歸榮耀給神，所以主的使者立刻擊打他，他被蟲咬，就斷了氣。神的道日漸興旺，越發廣傳。
