Jesus replied,“ Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning.

He said to them,“ Because of your hardness of heart Moses allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so.

Jesus replied,“ Moses permitted divorce only as a concession to your hard hearts, but it was not what God had originally intended.

He told them,“ Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because of the hardness of your hearts, but it was not like that from the beginning.

爾更行斯惡、使人淚沾濡主之祭臺、在祭臺旁涕泣號哭、以致主不垂顧所獻者、不悅納禮物於爾手、爾曰、此何故耶、答曰、爾幼年娶妻、有主於爾二人中作證、彼原爾之伴侶、為爾盟約之妻、爾幼年娶妻有主於爾二人中作證彼原爾之伴侶為爾盟約之妻或作是因主在爾及爾幼年所娶之妻中為證爾幼年所娶之妻原為爾之伴侶爾亦曾與彼立約爾反欺之、

主曾如是云、爾曹當立道旁以觀、訪其舊途、何為善道則行之、如是可得平康、惟彼云、我儕不欲行、

是以人離父母、與妻聯合、成為一體、

挪亞與妻子及子婦、俱登方舟、以避洪水、

耶穌謂之曰、今姑許我、因我儕當如是以盡諸義、約翰乃許之、

主曰、爾曹勿剛愎乃心、如昔在米利巴、在曠野之瑪撒時、

剛愎厥心、同於金剛石、不聽律法、不聽萬有之主、以其神藉古先知所諭之之言、或作剛愎其心同於金剛石不聽律法不聽萬有之主以其神藉古先知諭彼惟彼不聽其言故萬有之主震怒特甚、

耶穌曰、摩西以爾心忍、故有此命、

魔求之曰、若逐我出、則許我入豕群、

我言此、乃所許、非所命也、
