控告長老的呈子，非有兩三個見證就不要收。

人干犯摩西的律法，憑兩三個見證人，尚且不得憐恤而死，

你們的律法上也記着說：『兩個人的見證是真的。』

「無論誰故殺人，要憑幾個見證人的口把那故殺人的殺了，只是不可憑一個見證的口叫人死。

並且有聖靈作見證，因為聖靈就是真理。作見證的原來有三：就是聖靈、水，與血，這三樣也都歸於一。

我要使我那兩個見證人，穿着毛衣，傳道一千二百六十天。」
