And yet how is it written of the Son of Man that He will suffer many things and be treated with contempt?But I say to you that Elijah has indeed come, and they did to him whatever they wanted, just as it is written of him.”

But He warned them and instructed them not to tell this to anyone,saying,“ The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed and be raised on the third day.”

but I say to you that Elijah already came, and they did not recognize him, but did to him whatever they wanted. So also the Son of Man is going to suffer at their hands.”

Her parents were amazed; but He instructed them to tell no one what had happened.

And Jesus* said to him,“ The foxes have holes and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.”

and He said to them,“ So it is written, that the Christ would suffer and rise from the dead on the third day,and that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

And Jesus* said to him,“ See that you tell no one; but go, show yourself to the priest and present the offering that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”

Then He gave the disciples strict orders that they were to tell no one that He was the Christ.From that time Jesus began to point out to His disciples that it was necessary for Him to go to Jerusalem and to suffer many things from the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and to be killed, and to be raised up on the third day.

and after they have flogged Him, they will kill Him; and on the third day He will rise.”The disciples understood none of these things, and the meaning of this statement was hidden from them, and they did not comprehend the things that were said.
