「我實在告訴你們，凡你們在地上所捆綁的，在天上也要捆綁；凡你們在地上所釋放的，在天上也要釋放。

我要將大衛家的鑰匙放在他肩頭上。他開了，無人能關；他關了，無人能開。

你們赦免誰的罪，誰的罪就得赦免；你們不赦免誰的罪，誰的罪就不得赦免。」

又是永活的。我曾死過，看哪，我是活着的，直到永永遠遠；並且我拿着死亡和陰間的鑰匙。

你們赦免誰，我也赦免誰。我若有所赦免，是在基督面前為你們的緣故赦免的，

「你要寫信給非拉鐵非教會的使者，說：『那神聖、真實的，拿着大衛的鑰匙，開了就沒有人能關，關了就沒有人能開的這樣說：

第五位天使吹號，我就看見一顆星從天上墜落到地上；有無底坑的鑰匙賜給它。

這二人有權柄關閉天空，使他們說預言的日子不下雨；又有權柄使水變為血，並且能隨時隨意用各樣的災害擊打大地。

所以，那棄絕這教導的不是棄絕人，而是棄絕那把自己的聖靈賜給你們的上帝。

辯論了許久後，彼得站起來，對他們說：「諸位弟兄，你們知道上帝早已在你們中間揀選了我，讓外邦人從我口中得聽福音之道，而且相信。

彼得和十一個使徒站起來，他就高聲向眾人說：「猶太人和所有住在耶路撒冷的人哪，這件事你們要知道，要側耳聽我的話。這些人並不像你們所想的喝醉了，因為現在才早晨九點鐘。這正是藉着先知約珥所說的：『上帝說：在末後的日子，我要將我的靈澆灌凡血肉之軀的。你們的兒女要說預言；你們的少年要見異象；你們的老人要做異夢。在那些日子，我要把我的靈澆灌，甚至給我的僕人和婢女，他們要說預言。在天上，我要顯出奇事，在地下，我要顯出神蹟，有血，有火，有煙霧。太陽要變為黑暗，月亮要變為血，這都在主大而光榮的日子未到以前。那時，凡求告主名的都必得救。』「以色列人哪，你們要聽我這些話：拿撒勒人耶穌就是上帝以異能、奇事、神蹟向你們證明出來的人，這些事是上帝藉着他在你們中間施行，正如你們自己知道的。他既按着上帝確定的旨意和預知被交與人，你們就藉着不法之人的手把他釘在十字架上，殺了。上帝卻將死的痛苦解除，使他復活了，因為他原不能被死拘禁。大衛指着他說：『我看見主常在我眼前，他在我右邊，使我不至於動搖。所以我心裏歡喜，我的舌頭快樂，而且我的肉身要安居在指望中。因你必不將我的靈魂撇在陰間，也不讓你的聖者見朽壞。你已將生命的道路指示我，必使我在你面前充滿快樂。』「諸位弟兄，先祖大衛的事，我可以坦然地對你們說：他死了，也埋葬了，而且他的墳墓直到今日還在我們這裏。既然大衛是先知，他知道上帝曾向他起誓，要從他的後裔中立一位坐在他的寶座上。他預先看見了，就講論基督的復活，說：『他不被撇在陰間；他的肉身也不見朽壞。』這耶穌，上帝已經使他復活了，我們都是這事的見證人。他既被高舉在上帝的右邊，又從父受了所應許的聖靈，就把你們所看見所聽見的，澆灌下來。大衛並沒有升到天上，但他自己說：『主對我主說：你坐在我的右邊，等我使你的仇敵作你的腳凳。』故此，以色列全家當確實知道，你們釘在十字架上的這位耶穌，上帝已經立他為主，為基督了。」眾人聽見這話，覺得扎心，就對彼得和其餘的使徒說：「諸位弟兄，我們該怎樣做呢？」彼得對他們說：「你們各人要悔改，奉耶穌基督的名受洗，使你們的罪得赦免，就會領受所賜的聖靈。因為這應許是給你們和你們的兒女，並一切在遠方的人，就是給所有主－我們的上帝所召來的人。」彼得還用更多別的話作見證，勸勉他們說：「你們當救自己脫離這彎曲的世代。」於是領受他話的人，都受了洗；那一天，門徒約添了三千人。他們都專注於使徒的教導和彼此的團契，擘餅和祈禱。

彼得開口說：「我真的看出上帝是不偏待人的。不但如此，在各國中那敬畏他而行義的人都為他所悅納。上帝藉着耶穌基督－他是萬有的主－傳和平的福音，把這道傳給以色列人。這話在約翰傳揚洗禮以後，從加利利起，傳遍了猶太。上帝怎樣以聖靈和能力膏了拿撒勒人耶穌，這都是你們知道的。他到處奔波，行善事，醫好凡被魔鬼壓制的人，因為上帝與他同在。

我又看見一位天使從天降下，手裏拿着無底坑的鑰匙和一條大鐵鏈。他抓住那龍，那古蛇，就是魔鬼、撒但，把牠捆綁了一千年，扔在無底坑裏，把無底坑關閉，用印封上，使牠不再迷惑列國，等到那一千年滿了。這些事以後，牠必須暫時被釋放。
