And Jesus went on with his disciples to the villages of Caesarea Philippi. And on the way he asked his disciples,“ Who do people say that I am?”And they told him,“ John the Baptist; and others say, Elijah; and others, one of the prophets.”And he asked them,“ But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered him,“ You are the Christ.”

For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”— he then said to the paralytic—“ Rise, pick up your bed and go home.”

And he said to him,“ Truly, truly, I say to you, you will see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.”

And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.

“ When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,

And he has given him authority to execute judgment, because he is the Son of Man.

He answered,“ The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man.

For just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all law-breakers,

And Jesus said to him,“ Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.”

And Jesus went away from there and withdrew to the district of Tyre and Sidon.

And he said,“ Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.”

“ I saw in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven there came one like a son of man, and he came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before him.

For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him will the Son of Man also be ashamed when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”

For the Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath.”

how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.

So the crowd answered him,“ We have heard from the Law that the Christ remains forever. How can you say that the Son of Man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man?”

Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil,and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery.For surely it is not angels that he helps, but he helps the offspring of Abraham.Therefore he had to be made like his brothers in every respect, so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.For because he himself has suffered when tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.
