But I said,‘ Not so, Lord! For nothing common or unclean has at any time entered my mouth.’But the voice answered me again from heaven,‘ What God has cleansed you must not call common.’

Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All things indeed are pure, but it is evil for the man who eats with offense.

“ Their throat is an open tomb; With their tongues they have practiced deceit”;“ The poison of asps is under their lips”;“ Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.”

His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and oppression; Under his tongue is trouble and iniquity.

“ And like their bow they have bent their tongues for lies. They are not valiant for the truth on the earth. For they proceed from evil to evil, And they do not know Me,” says the Lord.“ Everyone take heed to his neighbor, And do not trust any brother; For every brother will utterly supplant, And every neighbor will walk with slanderers.Everyone will deceive his neighbor, And will not speak the truth; They have taught their tongue to speak lies; They weary themselves to commit iniquity.Your dwelling place is in the midst of deceit; Through deceit they refuse to know Me,” says the Lord.

The wicked are estranged from the womb; They go astray as soon as they are born, speaking lies.Their poison is like the poison of a serpent; They are like the deaf cobra that stops its ear,

For your hands are defiled with blood, And your fingers with iniquity; Your lips have spoken lies, Your tongue has muttered perversity.No one calls for justice, Nor does any plead for truth. They trust in empty words and speak lies; They conceive evil and bring forth iniquity.They hatch vipers’ eggs and weave the spider’s web; He who eats of their eggs dies, And from that which is crushed a viper breaks out.

“ Whom have you reproached and blasphemed? Against whom have you raised your voice, And lifted up your eyes on high? Against the Holy One of Israel.

To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled.

I know and am convinced by the Lord Jesus that there is nothing unclean of itself; but to him who considers anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.

Do not be carried about with various and strange doctrines. For it is good that the heart be established by grace, not with foods which have not profited those who have been occupied with them.

For when they speak great swelling words of emptiness, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through lewdness, the ones who have actually escaped from those who live in error.
