他们就惊慌，感到害怕，以为看到了幽灵。

有主的一位天使站在香坛的右边向他显现。撒迦利亚看见后，就惊慌不安，恐惧就临到了他。

我一看见他，就仆倒在他的脚前，像死人那样。他把右手放在我身上，说：“不要怕！我就是首先的，是末后的，

妇女们吓得把脸伏在地上。那两个人对她们说：“你们为什么在死人中寻找活人呢？

那女人看见撒母耳，就大声哀叫。她对扫罗说：“你为什么欺骗我呢？你就是扫罗！”王对她说：“不要害怕。你究竟看见了什么？”那女人对扫罗说：“我看见有神明从地里上来。”扫罗问她：“他是什么模样呢？”她回答：“上来的是个老人，披着外袍。”扫罗认为那是撒母耳，就脸伏于地下拜。

他的身体如黄水晶，面貌如闪电的样子，眼睛如燃烧的火把，膀臂和脚如磨亮闪耀的铜；他说话的声音如众人发出的声音。唯独我但以理看到了这异象，那些与我在一起的人却没有看到这异象，但是有极大的恐惧落在他们身上，他们就逃走躲藏了。因此，唯独剩下我一人看到了这极大的异象；我里面一点力气都没有，我的脸色变得如同死灰，我的力气也留存不住，但我却听见了他说话的声音；我一听见他说话的声音，就脸伏于地沉睡了。看哪，有一只手碰了我一下，使我用膝盖和手掌支撑起来！那碰我的对我说：“蒙爱的但以理啊！你当领悟我向你说的话语，站起来，因为我现在受派遣到你这里。”他与我说这话的时候，我就战战兢兢地站了起来。他又对我说：“但以理啊！你不要害怕，因为自从你用心领悟这事、在你的神面前谦卑的第一天起，你的祷告就蒙垂听了；我是因你的祷告而来的。

他们对罗妲说：“你疯了！”可是她坚持就是如此。他们不住地说：“那是他的天使。”

于是耶稣开启他们的理性，使他们能领悟经上的话，
