This is why I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.

And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing.In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

They know not, nor do they discern, for he has shut their eyes, so that they cannot see, and their hearts, so that they cannot understand.

And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.

Jesus said,“ For judgment I came into this world, that those who do not see may see, and those who see may become blind.”Some of the Pharisees near him heard these things, and said to him,“ Are we also blind?”Jesus said to them,“ If you were blind, you would have no guilt; but now that you say,‘ We see,’ your guilt remains.

the great trials that your eyes saw, the signs, and those great wonders.But to this day the Lord has not given you a heart to understand or eyes to see or ears to hear.

Hear, you deaf, and look, you blind, that you may see!Who is blind but my servant, or deaf as my messenger whom I send? Who is blind as my dedicated one, or blind as the servant of the Lord?He sees many things, but does not observe them; his ears are open, but he does not hear.

But blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear.

And Jesus, aware of this, said to them,“ Why are you discussing the fact that you have no bread? Do you not yet perceive or understand? Are your hearts hardened?Having eyes do you not see, and having ears do you not hear? And do you not remember?
