And looking at those who were sitting around him in a circle, he said,“ Here are my mother and my brothers!

because I have given them the words you have given me. They accepted them and really understand that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me.I am praying on behalf of them. I am not praying on behalf of the world, but on behalf of those you have given me, because they belong to you.

Then go quickly and tell his disciples,‘ He has been raised from the dead. He is going ahead of you into Galilee. You will see him there.’ Listen, I have told you!”

Jesus replied,“ Do not touch me, for I have not yet ascended to my Father. Go to my brothers and tell them,‘ I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”Mary Magdalene came and informed the disciples,“ I have seen the Lord!” And she told them what Jesus had said to her.On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the disciples had gathered together and locked the doors of the place because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders. Jesus came and stood among them and said to them,“ Peace be with you.”When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord.
