“ When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it.

“ What happens when an evil spirit comes out of a person? It goes through dry areas looking for a place to rest. But it doesn’t find it.

“ When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, but finds none.

“ When an evil spirit leaves a person, it goes into the desert, seeking rest but finding none.

“ When an unclean spirit comes out of a person, it roams through waterless places looking for rest but doesn’t find any.

When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus,[ thou] Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not.( For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.)And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him.And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep.And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them.

Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find[ it].In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst.

I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.

And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?

And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus,[ thou] Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.For he said unto him, Come out of the man,[ thou] unclean spirit.And he asked him, What[ is] thy name? And he answered, saying, My name[ is] Legion: for we are many.And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea,( they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.

And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

Then shall the lame[ man] leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay,[ shall be] grass with reeds and rushes.

Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea:[ which being] brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.And it shall come to pass,[ that] every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh.And it shall come to pass,[ that] the fishers shall stand upon it from Engedi even unto Eneglaim; they shall be a[ place] to spread forth nets; their fish shall be according to their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many.But the miry places thereof and the marishes thereof shall not be healed; they shall be given to salt.And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.

O God, thou[ art] my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.
