「總督大人，我們記得那個騙子生前曾說，『三天之後，我必復活』，所以請你命人看守墳墓三天，以防祂的門徒偷走祂的屍體，然後對百姓說祂已經從死裡復活。這樣的迷惑會比以前的更厲害！」

耶穌回答說：「你們拆毀這座殿，我三天之內會把它重建起來。」

他們將殺害祂，第三天祂將復活。」門徒聽了，十分憂愁。

「我遭遇患難的時候向你求告，你就應允我。我在陰間的深處呼求你，你也垂聽我的聲音。你把我拋進深海，茫茫大海把我吞沒，你的巨浪洪濤淹沒我。我心想，你已經驅逐我離開你的面，但我要再瞻仰你的聖殿。波濤環繞我，深淵吞沒我，海草纏繞著我的頭。我下沉到山的根基，大地的門把我永遠關住；然而，我的上帝耶和華啊，你卻把我的性命從深坑中拯救出來。

「你這聲稱把聖殿拆毀又在三天內重建的人啊，救救自己吧！你要是上帝的兒子，就從十字架上下來吧！」

那些圖謀毀滅我的人必下到陰間。

耶穌說：「狐狸有洞，飛鳥有窩，人子卻沒有安枕之處。」
