You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.

You nest of poisonous snakes! How can you who are evil say anything good? Your mouths say everything that is in your hearts.

You brood of vipers! How can you speak good, when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

You brood of snakes! How could evil men like you speak what is good and right? For whatever is in your heart determines what you say.

See how great a forest is set aflame by such a small fire!And the tongue is a fire, the very world of unrighteousness; the tongue is set among our body’s parts as that which defiles the whole body and sets on fire the course of our life, and is set on fire by hell.For every species of beasts and birds, of reptiles and creatures of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by the human race.But no one among mankind can tame the tongue; it is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.

Let no unwholesome word come out of your mouth, but if there is any good word for edification according to the need of the moment, say that, so that it will give grace to those who hear.

as it is written:“ There is no righteous person, not even one;There is no one who understands, There is no one who seeks out God;They have all turned aside, together they have become corrupt; There is no one who does good, There is not even one.”“ Their throat is an open grave, With their tongues they keep deceiving,”“ The venom of asps is under their lips”;“ Their mouth is full of cursing and bitterness”;

The good person brings out of his good treasure good things; and the evil person brings out of his evil treasure evil things.

You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he tells a lie, he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies.

For a fool speaks nonsense, And his heart inclines toward wickedness: To practice ungodliness and to speak error against the Lord, To keep the hungry person unsatisfied And to withhold drink from the thirsty.

You snakes, you offspring of vipers, how will you escape the sentence of hell?

No one sues righteously and no one pleads honestly. They trust in confusion and speak lies; They conceive trouble and give birth to disaster.
