Then Jesus began to denounce the towns in which most of his miracles had been performed, because they did not repent.

哀哉哥絡潯！哀哉珀璾達！假令爾中所顯靈異、顯於諦羅西同、則早已披麻坐灰、幡然悔悟矣。故審判時、諦羅西同之刑較爾猶易受也。鳴呼葛法農！爾欲被陟而登青雲乎？爾必被降而入幽獄也！

我是雅瑋爾之主。攜爾脫離埃及地。但須爾張口。我必賜供飼。詎意吾民莫我聽。義塞之裔將我棄。縱人欲。昧天理。愚而好自用。冥頑不靈徇私智。

即欲規人之過、亦須平心靜氣、委宛言之、庶幾天主啟牖其衷、俾得領悟大道、改過遷善、自拔於妖魔之羅網、而脫其拘係。

審判之時、尼尼衛人必將起而定斯代之罪；蓋彼等猶因若納之訓、而起悔悟；顧在斯有大於若納者焉。

『爾曹於意云何：人有二子、諭其長者曰：「兒今日可往葡萄園工作。」對曰：「不願。」既而悔之、乃往。諭次子亦往、次子曰：「大人、我往。」然竟未往也。二者孰孝？』對曰：『長子。』耶穌曰：『吾實語爾、稅吏娼妓、將先爾曹入天主國。蓋如望以義路開導於爾、爾不之信；而稅吏娼妓、則信之矣。爾見其事。猶未能悔悟而起信也。

不堪瘡痍之苦、而謗讟天主；猶不知痛悔諸業、而改絃易轍。

人既受炙、遂謗讟有權制災之天主；猶不知憣然悔改而稱頌威光。

蓋爾所傳者、在吾人耳中、實屬異聞、頗欲一明其旨。』

後十一徒同席而食、耶穌又顯現、痛責其信德之薄弱、及心靈之冥頑、以其未信復活後之見證也。

若爾中有人智慧不足、則當求之天主、終必如願以償；蓋天主賜人至厚、博愛慈祥、而不事呵叱也。

耶穌喟然嘆曰：『無信之世代乎！我之偕爾、當至何時？我之忍爾、當至何時？且攜汝子前來。』

吾已予以充分時間、盼其悔悟；而彼終怙惡不悛、淫蕩如故。識之哉、

顧人類之未死於災者、亦復不改厥行、仍事諸魔、崇拜金、銀、銅、石、木所製、而不能視聽行動之偶像；若輩怙惡不悛、而殺人、巫蠱、奸淫、竊盜、依然如故。
