Consider the ravens: they don’t sow, they don’t reap, they have no warehouse or barn, and God feeds them. How much more valuable are you than birds!

For it is written in the law of Moses,“ You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain.” Is it for the oxen that God cares,or does he say it assuredly for our sake? Yes, it was written for our sake, because he who plows ought to plow in hope, and he who threshes in hope should partake of his hope.

He said to them,“ What man is there among you, who has one sheep, and if this one falls into a pit on the Sabbath day, won’t he grab on to it, and lift it out?Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath day.”
