且謂之曰『往立聖殿中、以生命之道布之於人。』

一俟真諦之神來臨、必能循循誘爾洞達微妙。彼所言亦非由己；有所聞、乃言之；當示爾以將臨之事、且必歸榮於予也。

予以此預告、庶幾來日爾等意志不致搖動。

諸徒曰：『子今已不假譬喻而明言之矣！

『吾未嚴禁爾曹勿復奉斯名而教人乎？今則反以其道徧傳耶路撒冷、豈欲以其人之血歸諸吾身乎？』

耶穌曰：『天主國之奧義、賜爾知之；為他人惟設譬而已。彼乃所謂視而不見、聞而不悟者也。

即日、耶穌外出、憩於海濱。以民眾蝟集、遂登舟而坐、眾鵠立岸上。乃多方設喻而訓之曰：『有農人出而播種、播時、或落道旁、鳥來啄之；或落磽确、積壤淺薄、發萌迅疾、日出曝之、則苗槁矣、以無根故也；或落棘中、棘漸長而蔽之；或落佳壤、則暢茂條達、有蕡其實、有百倍者、有六十倍者、有三十倍者。凡有耳者、其諦聽焉。』門徒進曰：『夫子訓眾、必以譬喻何也？』耶穌曰：『天國之蘊奧、賜爾知之、不賜若輩；誠以有者益之、使沛然充溢、而無者並奪其所有。若輩視而不見、聽而不聞、冥頑不悟、故以譬喻訓之。意灑雅之預言、實應於若輩之身矣。其言曰：斯民之心、已成頑梗；厥耳重聽、厥目自閉、若恐其目之有見、耳之有聞、心之有悟、幡然回頭、而獲救於我也。」然福哉爾目、以有見故。福哉爾耳、以有聞故。我實語爾、古之先知義士、咸欲睹爾之所睹、而不獲睹、欲聞爾之所聞、而不獲聞也。

吾人既具偌大之希望、故光明磊落、直言無諱、

凡此皆耶穌訓眾時所設譬喻、非譬不言。此亦所以應驗先知之言曰：『啟口設諭發古之蘊。』

予向以譬喻教爾、惟時即至、予將不復設譬、必欲明白曉暢、以父示爾。

乃於會堂中與猶太人及其他虔敬天主者、從事討論；市中有所遇、亦如之、日以為常。
