And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not.

Then once again you will see the difference between godly people and sinful people. And you will see the difference between those who serve me and those who do not.

You could not possibly do such a thing: to kill the righteous with the wicked, treating the righteous and the wicked alike. You could not possibly do that! Won’t the Judge of all the earth do what is just?”

The righteous one will rejoice when he sees the retribution; he will wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.Then people will say,“ Yes, there is a reward for the righteous! There is a God who judges on earth!”

After I have uprooted them, I will once again have compassion on them and return each one to his inheritance and to his land.

You have said:“ It is useless to serve God. What have we gained by keeping His requirements and walking mournfully before the Lord of Hosts?So now we consider the arrogant to be fortunate. Not only do those who commit wickedness prosper, they even test God and escape.”

“ And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me. Where I am, there My servant also will be. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.

But because of your hardness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath, when God’s righteous judgment is revealed.He will repay each one according to his works:

For this night an angel of the God I belong to and serve stood by me,

It is a clear evidence of God’s righteous judgment that you will be counted worthy of God’s kingdom, for which you also are suffering,since it is righteous for God to repay with affliction those who afflict youand to reward with rest you who are afflicted, along with us. This will take place at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with His powerful angels,taking vengeance with flaming fire on those who don’t know God and on those who don’t obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.These will pay the penalty of eternal destruction from the Lord’s presence and from His glorious strengthin that day when He comes to be glorified by His saints and to be admired by all those who have believed, because our testimony among you was believed.

As she followed Paul and us she cried out,“ These men, who are proclaiming to you the way of salvation, are the slaves of the Most High God.”

Though Edom says:“ We have been devastated, but we will rebuild the ruins,” the Lord of Hosts says this:“ They may build, but I will demolish. They will be called a wicked country and the people the Lord has cursed forever.

If the God we serve exists, then He can rescue us from the furnace of blazing fire, and He can rescue us from the power of you, the king.But even if He does not rescue us, we want you as king to know that we will not serve your gods or worship the gold statue you set up.”Then Nebuchadnezzar was filled with rage, and the expression on his face changed toward Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. He gave orders to heat the furnace seven times more than was customary,and he commanded some of the strongest soldiers in his army to tie up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and throw them into the furnace of blazing fire.So these men, in their trousers, robes, head coverings, and other clothes, were tied up and thrown into the furnace of blazing fire.Since the king’s command was so urgent and the furnace extremely hot, the raging flames killed those men who carried Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego up.And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego fell, bound, into the furnace of blazing fire.Then King Nebuchadnezzar jumped up in alarm. He said to his advisers,“ Didn’t we throw three men, bound, into the fire?”“ Yes, of course, Your Majesty,” they replied to the king.He exclaimed,“ Look! I see four men, not tied, walking around in the fire unharmed; and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.”Nebuchadnezzar then approached the door of the furnace of blazing fire and called:“ Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, you servants of the Most High God— come out!” So Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came out of the fire.

Reconsider; don’t be unjust. Reconsider; my righteousness is still the issue.

At that time Michael the great prince who stands watch over your people will rise up. There will be a time of distress such as never has occurred since nations came into being until that time. But at that time all your people who are found written in the book will escape.Many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake, some to eternal life, and some to shame and eternal contempt.Those who are wise will shine like the bright expanse of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.

But didn’t My words and My statutes that I commanded My servants the prophets overtake your ancestors? They repented and said: As the Lord of Hosts purposed to deal with us for our ways and deeds, so He has dealt with us.”

Who knows? He may turn and relent and leave a blessing behind Him, so you can offer grain and wine to the Lord your God.

Tell the righteous that it will go well for them, for they will eat the fruit of their labor.Woe to the wicked— it will go badly for them, for what they have done will be done to them.

But come back and try again, all of you. I will not find a wise man among you.
