“ So I in turn have made you despised and humiliated before all the people because you are not keeping my ways but are showing partiality in your instruction.”

因爾未守我道、在於法律、偏以待人、故我使爾成為可厭、眾民所鄙、○

不從我道、偏視我法、故我使眾、藐視爾曹、

爾不守我道、傳律法時、偏視不公、偏視不公或作瞻徇情面故我亦使爾為眾民所輕藐、視為卑賤、○

“ So I have caused you to be despised and humiliated before all the people, because you have not followed my ways but have shown partiality in matters of the law.”

“ So I have caused all the people to hate you. They have lost respect for you. You have not done what I told you to do. Instead, you have favored one person over another in matters of the law.”

and so I make you despised and abased before all the people, inasmuch as you do not keep my ways but show partiality in your instruction.”

“ So I have made you despised and humiliated in the eyes of all the people. For you have not obeyed me but have shown favoritism in the way you carry out my instructions.”

“ So I also have made you despised and of low reputation in the view of all the people, since you are not keeping My ways but are showing partiality in the instruction.”

“ Therefore I also have made you contemptible and base Before all the people, Because you have not kept My ways But have shown partiality in the law.”

Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways, but have had respect of persons in the law.

“ So I in turn have made you despised and humiliated before all the people because you are not keeping My ways but are showing partiality in your instruction.”

“ Therefore, I have caused you to be ignored and belittled before all people to the extent to which you are not following after me and are showing partiality in your instruction.”

“ Therefore I have also made you contemptible and wicked before all the people, according to the way you have not kept my ways, but have had respect for persons in the law.

“ Therefore, this is the declaration of the LORD, the God of Israel:‘ I did say that your family and your forefather’s family would walk before me forever. But now,’ this is the LORD’s declaration,‘ no longer! For those who honor me I will honor, but those who despise me will be disgraced.

But Micaiah said,“ If you ever return safely, the LORD has not spoken through me.” Then he said,“ Listen, all you people!”

Therefore, it will be night for you— without visions; it will grow dark for you— without divination. The sun will set on these prophets, and the daylight will turn black over them.Then the seers will be ashamed and the diviners disappointed. They will all cover their mouths because there will be no answer from God.

I will also tear off your veils and rescue my people from your hands, so that they will no longer be prey in your hands. Then you will know that I am the LORD.

Do not show partiality when deciding a case; listen to small and great alike. Do not be intimidated by anyone, for judgment belongs to God. Bring me any case too difficult for you, and I will hear it.

Now from those recognized as important( what they once were makes no difference to me; God does not show favoritism)— they added nothing to me.

“ You have heard that it was said, Do not commit adultery.But I tell you, everyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

“ But woe to you Pharisees! You give a tenth of mint, rue, and every kind of herb, and you bypass justice and love for God. These things you should have done without neglecting the others.

When the wall has fallen, will you not be asked,“ Where’s the whitewash you plastered on it?”“‘ So this is what the Lord GOD says: I will release a whirlwind in my wrath. Torrential rain will come in my anger, and hailstones will fall in destructive fury.I will demolish the wall you plastered with whitewash and knock it to the ground so that its foundation is exposed. The city will fall, and you will be destroyed within it. Then you will know that I am the LORD.After I exhaust my wrath against the wall and against those who plaster it with whitewash, I will say to you,“ The wall is no more and neither are those who plastered it—those prophets of Israel who prophesied to Jerusalem and saw a vision of peace for her when there was no peace.” This is the declaration of the Lord GOD.’

“ Why do you ask me about what is good?” he said to him.“ There is only one who is good. If you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”“ Which ones?” he asked him. Jesus answered: Do not murder; do not commit adultery; do not steal; do not bear false witness;

But wanting to justify himself, he asked Jesus,“ And who is my neighbor?”

While all the people were listening, he said to his disciples,“ Beware of the scribes, who want to go around in long robes and who love greetings in the marketplaces, the best seats in the synagogues, and the places of honor at banquets.They devour widows’ houses and say long prayers just for show. These will receive harsher judgment.”

Abandoning the command of God, you hold on to human tradition.”He also said to them,“ You have a fine way of invalidating God’s command in order to set up your tradition!For Moses said: Honor your father and your mother; and Whoever speaks evil of father or mother must be put to death.But you say,‘ If anyone tells his father or mother: Whatever benefit you might have received from me is corban’”( that is, an offering devoted to God),“ you no longer let him do anything for his father or mother.You nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many other similar things.”Summoning the crowd again, he told them,“ Listen to me, all of you, and understand:

“ Send a message to all the exiles, saying,‘ This is what the LORD says concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite. Because Shemaiah prophesied to you, though I did not send him, and made you trust a lie,this is what the LORD says: I am about to punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his descendants. There will not be even one of his descendants living among these people, nor will any ever see the good that I will bring to my people— this is the LORD’s declaration— for he has preached rebellion against the LORD.’”

“ You have heard that it was said, Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

“ Again, you have heard that it was said to our ancestors, You must not break your oath, but you must keep your oaths to the Lord.But I tell you, don’t take an oath at all: either by heaven, because it is God’s throne;or by the earth, because it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, because it is the city of the great King.Do not swear by your head, because you cannot make a single hair white or black.But let your‘ yes’ mean‘ yes,’ and your‘ no’ mean‘ no.’ Anything more than this is from the evil one.

What should we say then? Is the law sin? Absolutely not! But I would not have known sin if it were not for the law. For example, I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, Do not covet.And sin, seizing an opportunity through the commandment, produced in me coveting of every kind. For apart from the law sin is dead.Once I was alive apart from the law, but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life againand I died. The commandment that was meant for life resulted in death for me.

Hear the word of the LORD, all you exiles I have sent from Jerusalem to Babylon.This is what the LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, says about Ahab son of Kolaiah and concerning Zedekiah son of Maaseiah, the ones prophesying a lie to you in my name:“ I am about to hand them over to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, and he will kill them before your very eyes.Based on what happens to them, all the exiles of Judah who are in Babylon will create a curse that says,‘ May the LORD make you like Zedekiah and Ahab, whom the king of Babylon roasted in the fire!’

“ You have heard that it was said to our ancestors, Do not murder, and whoever murders will be subject to judgment.But I tell you, everyone who is angry with his brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Whoever insults his brother or sister, will be subject to the court. Whoever says,‘ You fool!’ will be subject to hellfire.

“ Look, I am going to rebuke your descendants, and I will spread animal waste over your faces, the waste from your festival sacrifices, and you will be taken away with it.

Many who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake, some to eternal life, and some to disgrace and eternal contempt.Those who have insight will shine like the bright expanse of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.

“ You, on the other hand, have turned from the way. You have caused many to stumble by your instruction. You have violated the covenant of Levi,” says the LORD of Armies.

“ Woe to you, blind guides, who say,‘ Whoever takes an oath by the temple, it means nothing. But whoever takes an oath by the gold of the temple is bound by his oath.’Blind fools! For which is greater, the gold or the temple that sanctified the gold?Also,‘ Whoever takes an oath by the altar, it means nothing; but whoever takes an oath by the gift that is on it is bound by his oath.’Blind people! For which is greater, the gift or the altar that sanctifies the gift?Therefore, the one who takes an oath by the altar takes an oath by it and by everything on it.The one who takes an oath by the temple takes an oath by it and by him who dwells in it.And the one who takes an oath by heaven takes an oath by God’s throne and by him who sits on it.“ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You pay a tenth of mint, dill, and cumin, and yet you have neglected the more important matters of the law— justice, mercy, and faithfulness. These things should have been done without neglecting the others.Blind guides! You strain out a gnat, but gulp down a camel!

The prophet Jeremiah said to the prophet Hananiah,“ Listen, Hananiah! The LORD did not send you, but you have led these people to trust in a lie.Therefore, this is what the LORD says:‘ I am about to send you off the face of the earth. You will die this year because you have preached rebellion against the LORD.’”

The remembrance of the righteous is a blessing, but the name of the wicked will rot.
