“ You have shown contempt by offering defiled sacrifices on my altar.“ Then you ask,‘ How have we defiled the sacrifices?’“ You defile them by saying the altar of the Lord deserves no respect.

你们藐视我的名是因你们把被玷污的粮食献在我的祭坛上，却还问：‘我们是怎么玷污你的呢？’又因你们说：‘耶和华的桌子是可以被藐视的！’

你們將污穢的食物獻在我的壇上，且說：『我們在何事上污穢你呢？』因你們說，耶和華的桌子是可藐視的。

「你們將不潔淨的食物獻在我的祭壇上，卻說：『我們在何事上使你不潔淨呢？』你們說，耶和華的供桌是可藐視的。

「你們將不潔淨的食物獻在我的祭壇上，卻說：『我們在何事上使你不潔淨呢？』你們說，耶和華的供桌是可藐視的。

將污穢的食物供獻在我的祭壇上、而你們竟說：「我們在甚麼事上污瀆了你呢？」——這就等於你們心裏說：永恆主的桌子是可藐視的了！

“ By offering defiled food on my altar.“ But you ask,‘ How have we defiled you?’“ By saying that the Lord’s table is contemptible.

“ You sacrifice‘ unclean’ food on my altar.“ But you ask,‘ How have we made you“ unclean”?’“ You do it by looking down on my altar.

By offering polluted food upon my altar. But you say,‘ How have we polluted you?’ By saying that the Lord’s table may be despised.

“ By presenting defiled food on my altar.”“ How have we defiled you?” you ask. When you say,“ The LORD’s table is contemptible.”

You are presenting defiled food upon My altar. But you say,‘ How have we defiled You?’ In that you say,‘ The table of the Lord is to be despised.’

“ You offer defiled food on My altar, But say,‘ In what way have we defiled You?’ By saying,‘ The table of the Lord is contemptible.’

Ye offer polluted bread upon mine altar. And ye say, Wherein have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of Jehovah is contemptible.

“ By presenting defiled food on My altar.” You ask:“ How have we defiled You?” When you say:“ The Lord’s table is contemptible.”

Ye offer polluted bread upon mine altar; and ye say, Wherein have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of the LORD[ is] contemptible.

You are offering improper sacrifices on my altar, yet you ask,‘ How have we offended you?’ By treating the table of the LORD as if it is of no importance!

You offer polluted bread on my altar. You say,‘ How have we polluted you?’ In that you say,‘ Yahweh’s table is contemptible.’

“ But you dishonor my name with your actions. By bringing contemptible food, you are saying it’s all right to defile the Lord’s table.

So anyone who eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord unworthily is guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord.That is why you should examine yourself before eating the bread and drinking the cup.For if you eat the bread or drink the cup without honoring the body of Christ, you are eating and drinking God’s judgment upon yourself.That is why many of you are weak and sick and some have even died.But if we would examine ourselves, we would not be judged by God in this way.Yet when we are judged by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be condemned along with the world.

You cannot drink from the cup of the Lord and from the cup of demons, too. You cannot eat at the Lord’s Table and at the table of demons, too.

When you give blind animals as sacrifices, isn’t that wrong? And isn’t it wrong to offer animals that are crippled and diseased? Try giving gifts like that to your governor, and see how pleased he is!” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.

Sometimes the servant would come even before the animal’s fat had been burned on the altar. He would demand raw meat before it had been boiled so that it could be used for roasting.The man offering the sacrifice might reply,“ Take as much as you want, but the fat must be burned first.” Then the servant would demand,“ No, give it to me now, or I’ll take it by force.”So the sin of these young men was very serious in the Lord’s sight, for they treated the Lord’s offerings with contempt.

But if this firstborn animal has any defect, such as lameness or blindness, or if anything else is wrong with it, you must not sacrifice it to the Lord your God.

There was an altar made of wood, 5 1/4 feet high and 3 1/2 feet across. Its corners, base, and sides were all made of wood.“ This,” the man told me,“ is the table that stands in the Lord’s presence.”

They must be set apart as holy to their God and must never bring shame on the name of God. They must be holy, for they are the ones who present the special gifts to the Lord, gifts of food for their God.

“ Do not use yeast in preparing any of the grain offerings you present to the Lord, because no yeast or honey may be burned as a special gift presented to the Lord.

For some of you hurry to eat your own meal without sharing with others. As a result, some go hungry while others get drunk.What? Don’t you have your own homes for eating and drinking? Or do you really want to disgrace God’s church and shame the poor? What am I supposed to say? Do you want me to praise you? Well, I certainly will not praise you for this!
