“ But you dishonor my name with your actions. By bringing contemptible food, you are saying it’s all right to defile the Lord’s table.

你们却亵渎我的名，说：‘耶和华的桌子是污秽的，其上的食物是可藐视的。’

你们却亵渎我的名，说：‘主的供桌是不洁净的，供桌上的果子和食物是可藐视的。’

你们却亵渎我的名，说：‘主的供桌是不洁净的，供桌上的果子和食物是可藐视的。’

可是，你们却亵渎我的名，竟然说我的桌子是污秽的，上面的祭物是可藐视的。

万军之耶和华说：“你们却亵渎了我，因你们以为主的桌子是污秽的，桌上的食物也是可藐视的。

万军之耶和华说：“你们亵渎我的名，是因你们说：‘主的桌子是可以被玷污的，其上的果实和食物是可以被藐视的！’

你們卻褻瀆我的名，說：『耶和華的桌子是污穢的，其上的食物是可藐視的。』

你們卻褻瀆我的名，說：『主的供桌是不潔淨的，供桌上的果子和食物是可藐視的。』

你們卻褻瀆我的名，說：『主的供桌是不潔淨的，供桌上的果子和食物是可藐視的。』

可是，你們卻褻瀆我的名，竟然說我的桌子是污穢的，上面的祭物是可藐視的。

萬軍之耶和華說：“你們卻褻瀆了我，因你們以為主的桌子是污穢的，桌上的食物也是可藐視的。

而你們呢、卻褻瀆我的名——這就等於你們心裏說：主的桌子是污穢的，而其食物是可藐視的了！

萬軍之耶和華說：「你們褻瀆我的名，是因你們說：『主的桌子是可以被玷汙的，其上的果實和食物是可以被藐視的！』

惟爾侮之、曰、耶和華之幾不潔、其上之食品、可藐視也、

惟爾屢言耶和華之几、已玷厥污、其饌菲薄、則瀆我名、

惟爾褻瀆我名、因爾曹言主之案不潔、其上祭物可藐視、

“ But you profane it by saying,‘ The Lord’s table is defiled,’ and,‘ Its food is contemptible.’

“ But you treat my name as if it were not holy. You say the Lord’ s altar is‘ unclean.’ And you look down on its food.

But you profane it when you say that the Lord’s table is polluted, and its fruit, that is, its food may be despised.

“ But you are profaning it when you say,‘ The Lord’s table is defiled, and its product, its food, is contemptible.’

“ But you are profaning it by your saying,‘ The table of the Lord is defiled, and as for its fruit, its food is to be despised.’

“ But you profane it, In that you say,‘ The table of the Lord is defiled; And its fruit, its food, is contemptible.’

But ye profane it, in that ye say, The table of Jehovah is polluted, and the fruit thereof, even its food, is contemptible.

But you are profaning it when you say:“ The Lord’s table is defiled, and its product, its food, is contemptible.”

But ye have profaned it, in that ye say, The table of the LORD[ is] polluted; and the fruit thereof,[ even] his meat,[ is] contemptible.

“ But you are profaning it by saying that the table of the Lord is common and its offerings despicable.

“ But you profane it, in that you say,‘ Yahweh’s table is polluted, and its fruit, even its food, is contemptible.’

They trample helpless people in the dust and shove the oppressed out of the way. Both father and son sleep with the same woman, corrupting my holy name.

So they brought these gold cups taken from the Temple, the house of God in Jerusalem, and the king and his nobles, his wives, and his concubines drank from them.While they drank from them they praised their idols made of gold, silver, bronze, iron, wood, and stone.

No wonder the Scriptures say,“ The Gentiles blaspheme the name of God because of you.”

Then I was concerned for my holy name, on which my people brought shame among the nations.“ Therefore, give the people of Israel this message from the Sovereign Lord: I am bringing you back, but not because you deserve it. I am doing it to protect my holy name, on which you brought shame while you were scattered among the nations.I will show how holy my great name is— the name on which you brought shame among the nations. And when I reveal my holiness through you before their very eyes, says the Sovereign Lord, then the nations will know that I am the Lord.

You say,‘ It’s too hard to serve the Lord,’ and you turn up your noses at my commands,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.“ Think of it! Animals that are stolen and crippled and sick are being presented as offerings! Should I accept from you such offerings as these?” asks the Lord.

Then the foreign rabble who were traveling with the Israelites began to crave the good things of Egypt. And the people of Israel also began to complain.“ Oh, for some meat!” they exclaimed.“ We remember the fish we used to eat for free in Egypt. And we had all the cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions, and garlic we wanted.But now our appetites are gone. All we ever see is this manna!”The manna looked like small coriander seeds, and it was pale yellow like gum resin.The people would go out and gather it from the ground. They made flour by grinding it with hand mills or pounding it in mortars. Then they boiled it in a pot and made it into flat cakes. These cakes tasted like pastries baked with olive oil.

But you priests have left God’s paths. Your instructions have caused many to stumble into sin. You have corrupted the covenant I made with the Levites,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.

The Lord of Heaven’s Armies says to the priests:“ A son honors his father, and a servant respects his master. If I am your father and master, where are the honor and respect I deserve? You have shown contempt for my name!“ But you ask,‘ How have we ever shown contempt for your name?’“ You have shown contempt by offering defiled sacrifices on my altar.“ Then you ask,‘ How have we defiled the sacrifices?’“ You defile them by saying the altar of the Lord deserves no respect.When you give blind animals as sacrifices, isn’t that wrong? And isn’t it wrong to offer animals that are crippled and diseased? Try giving gifts like that to your governor, and see how pleased he is!” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.

Nevertheless, because you have shown utter contempt for the word of the Lord by doing this, your child will die.”
